Last year was bad but I think Tom Girardi and Erika Jayne might have gotten the worst of it. Unfortunately for them, 2021 isn’t looking any better. Erika will have a lot of explaining to do on the next season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, where she will most certainly play victim to Big Tommy’s evil plans of defrauding literally everyone on his client list. Please Bravo, bring Denise Richards back for a brief cameo to ask Erika all about it.
Erika and Tom have gone through a lot of changes recently. After being accused of embezzlement, Tom lost his law firm and his wife. Erika has since jumped ship and moved into a new house where she allegedly hopes Armie Hammer will have her for lunch – I’m sorry, have her over for lunch. The glam squad has relocated to Super Cuts, and Big Tommy will have to relocate as well. There will be no more walks across a manicured lawn. No more pools to have retiled. And no more home church to try and absolve sins.
Word on the street is Tom is no longer in control of his mind and some find his sudden memory loss very convenient. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities for a man in his 80’s to become forgetful, but it is curious that prior to Tom’s legal issues there was little mention of any health issues. I am certainly not accusing Tom of having pretend amnesia, but it is a damn shame Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave won’t be around to hold anyone accountable next season.
Tom’s fraud problems are far from over and now it looks like he’s about to be kicked out of his crib. According to documents obtained by The Blast, Big Tommy is set to be booted from the $16 million Pasadena Palace. The trustee presiding over Tom’s involuntary bankruptcy case is asking the court for permission to seize the property. Last month, Big Tommy’s creditors filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy accusing him of owing millions but refusing to pay. The judge signed off and appointed a trustee, who has taken over control of Tom’s frozen finances and will liquidate assets to pay off his debts.

In the recent motion, the trustee wants Tom to be out within 14 days. He says if Big Tommy refuses to hand over the keys within the two-week window, he wants Tom evicted by the cops. The trustee also says Tom is living alone in the home, while allegedly suffering from short term memory loss. His brother Robert Girardi was appointed conservator of the estate until March 31.
The trustee claims he tried to obtain access in January, but was denied. The trustee also asked for “access to the Property to enable his real estate broker to inspect it for marketing and sale”. In addition, “The Trustee was not provided with access for various reasons, many of which (including the Debtor’s health conditions) may not be resolved for many months. At the same time, the Property is not being adequately maintained and expenses of the estate continues to accrue including insurance payments.” No word on whether or not there was a pile of counterfeit Gucci track suits to remove from the grounds.

The trustee included, “I discovered that maintenance staff has quit due to nonpayment, insurance was about to expire, and even the utility bills were not being paid. For these reasons, I believe it is in the best interest of the estate to obtain access and market the property as soon as possible.” A judge has yet to rule on the matter. So according to all of this, Big Tommy has gone full Grey Gardens. While we don’t know the outcome of Tom and Erika’s fate, we do know a used mansion filled with the lingering scent of desperation and secrets will be on the MLS in the near future.
