At this point in the season, Gina Kirschenheiter and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas have been very supportive of Braunwyn Windham-Burke as she starts her journey with sobriety. However, that peace doesn’t last.
Emily Simpson revealed that EVERY Real Housewives of Orange County cast member unfollowed Braunwyn on Instagram for their own personal reasons. However, at this point, it’s unclear how Braunwyn and Gina’s relationship went from being super supportive to not even being on speaking terms.
Gina told Entertainment Tonight that she feels “terrible” about calling Braunwyn “a sloppy chihuahua,” which she said before she knew about Braunwyn’s alcoholism. Gina explained, “I didn’t know she was alcoholic. … This woman is clearly in crisis struggling with this, holding on by a straw and I’m in her face telling her, ‘You’re a sloppy chihuahua!’ Like, I feel terrible about that.”
Gina said, “I think now, for the first time, she’s sober and she’s going to have to figure out who she is, and I don’t think that she’s quite there. … Genuinely, my heart does go out to her and her family.”

Gina continued, “I think it’s extremely commendable that she has admitted it, that she has a problem, but I think maybe for the other women it’s hard for them to understand because when you look at what she presents on social media, it looks like she’s fast-tracked right through her whole journey.” In Braunwyn’s defense, pretty much everyone’s social media is merely a highlight reel of their lives. No one is able to show every single part of what they have going on in their lives.
In regard to that time Shannon Beador “allegedly” slammed the size of Gina’s condo, Gina said that Braunwyn has “no accountability, no responsibility” since she was making those comments as well. Gina added, “Her excuse for why it’s OK is because she’s not the only one that did it. For me, that’s a toddler response. That’s very immature to me. It’s very wanting to pass the buck.”
That’s exactly what happens on this show. People pass the buck and deflect constantly.
