We are only one episode into Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and I am already way more invested than I ever expected to be. If you haven’t started watching yet, please do so immediately (well, after you’re done reading this article).
Whoever did the casting for this show deserves a raise. There is no filler in this cast. Every single one of them has a good storyline both within the group and on her own. I am already so interested and beyond ready for more.
On the premiere episode, Lisa Barlow claimed that she is the “Sundance Queen,” meaning that she is the go-to person to know if you want to get into a party or event at the Sundance Film festival every year.
Even Jen Shah, who seems like she doesn’t hand out compliments easily referred to Lisa as the “Sundance Queen.” Jen even admitted that she has to “kiss the ring.”

Vanderpump Rules cast member Katie Maloney, who happens to be both a Utah native and a friend of Whitney Rose (who does not get along with Lisa) disputed the claims about Lisa being the go-to connector of the Utah party scene.
In an Instagram Story, Katie said, “They referred to Lisa as ‘the Sundance Queen,’ saying ‘if you want to get into any party at Sundance, you gotta know Lisa. You gotta kiss the ring.'”

Katie continued, “For one, I’m from Park City, where the Sundance Film Festival takes place and that might not make a lot of a difference, but still, [I’ve] been to a lot of parties there. [I’ve] never heard this woman’s name.” A Real Housewife exaggerating her life story with an inflated sense of importance? I’ve never seen that before.
She concluded, “There are people’s names that I know to use and she’s definitely not one of them. Just saying.” That could very well be true. It’s also very much possible that there is more than one person with Utah party connections.
