Southern Charm Season 7 presents a major cast shakeup. OG cast member Cameran Eubanks is gone. Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner exited as well. Now, Madison LeCroy is an actual cast member along with two other newbies, John Pringle and Leva Bonaparte.
Austen Kroll, Kathryn Dennis, Shep Rose, and Craig Conover are still on the show to bring the drama… and dish on the former cast members in interviews.
During a recent Us Weekly interview, Craig said, “You know, things move on. Naomie and Chelsea, love him to death, but you know, their time on the show is just over.”
Completely agreed. After her split from Austen and that brief (obviously forced) love triangle with Shep, Chelsea brought very little to the series other than a one-liner every few episodes and updates on her home renovation and vague comments about her boyfriend who refused to appear on the show. Snooze fest. As for Naomie, it’s clear that her man Metul Shah didn’t love being on the show, so why continue to hang out with your ex on a reality TV show?

Craig elaborated, “In order to do this, you have to be completely transparent and it’s the only way it works. And it’s a choice for everyone to make.”
And, this is his way of saying Chelsea and Naomie just stop sharing their lives, which, again, I completely agree with.
Craig said Chelsea “wasn’t going to open up her life” to the fans and that “she didn’t bring anything to the show” from this point forward. Once again: Craig and I are on the same page.

As for Naomie, Craig said she “has her plate full with stuff” and that she too “wasn’t going to share with everyone.”
He said he’s “happy” that the two of them are doing what they want with their lives. But, also he doesn’t think their exits actually “hurt” the show. Same, here Craig. Again.
