Braunwyn Windham-Burke has been on Real Housewives of Orange County for about five minutes. In reality this is her sophomore season on the franchise. Historically, the second year is usually when the shit starts hitting the fan. Braunwyn appears to be right on schedule. The mom of 93 made quite an impression out of the gate, but the volume has gone to 11 at this point.
Braunwyn has been open about her 20 years of nonconformist matrimony. Unfortunately, she and Sean Burke have strayed off the path of wedded bliss. After admitting she and Sean are redefining the term “marriage”, and boldly confiding she is an alcoholic in the season premier, now Braunwyn has something else to confess. She might want to start saving things for future seasons…
Viewers have been treated to Braunwyn’s eclectic family life and her penchant for making out with Tamra Judge. Not everyone was entertained by her antics, especially Vicki Gunvalson. On the bright side, Vicki is gone now and looking for casseroles in Mexico. Braunwyn is full speed ahead in her second round of RHOC. She is putting it all out there, whether you like it or not. No one will be able to accuse her of keeping her personal life hidden, that’s for sure.
After bravely acknowledging her relationship with alcohol is an exercise in personal destruction, Braunwyn and her husband also recognized their marriage needs help. The decision was made to live apart in an effort to find their way, but it appears Braunwyn is not alone on this journey. According to Us Weekly, Braunwyn has someone “new and special” in her life.

Braunwyn is out here giving us about six seasons of content, but it’s only her second season. Now she is detailing a new relationship outside the bonds of wedlock, which is cool if it’s between two consenting adults. But something tells me Sean doesn’t have to worry about some dude coming in and stealing his statement necklaces. Braunwyn shared, “There’s someone in my life right now that makes me happy and I smile just thinking about, but I kinda want to protect it right now.” Uh-huh, we see your careful wording, girl. Something tells me Braunie isn’t referring to a new puppy.
Braunwyn added, “I’m not quite ready to put it all out there, everyone in my life that knows me knows what’s happening. I don’t think I’ve smiled so much. It’s good. I know if you look at social media, it seems really like crazy, but things are really good in our house right now.” Uh-huh again. Why so coy? Gee, what could she be alluding to? Inquiring minds already know…

Here’s a hint, recently Braunwyn stated her marriage might be unconventional, but there are “no other men in my life”. Uh-huh three times. Look, we get it, Sherlock Holmes need not enter the group chat. She has already been very open about her bisexuality. No one wants to come down on Braunwyn for making herself happy. What people might hold issue with is going full extra for a storyline.
Braunwyn insists she and Sean are not seeking a divorce until next season. She maintains her intention to stay with him. “I’m 42 and there are just parts of me that … I pushed down and now I’m allowing myself to live authentically,” she said. Translation: I’m vibing with a woman who doesn’t accessorize with protection amulets from Poseidon’s ruins.

Braunwyn should exercise whatever it takes to remain sober. But is Braunwyn doing too much? She has a lot on her plate this season, and it appears ample time will be devoted to her story. Let’s just hope she keeps it “authentic” and doesn’t go overboard with the histrionics. Kelly Dodd already has that under control.
