Lala Kent “Not Opposed” To Filming Baby’s Birth For Vanderpump Rules

While the fate of Vanderpump Rules hangs in the balance, the stars on the show have been moving on with their lives. In June, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from the show along with newbies Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens for their appalling racist behavior.

The coronavirus pandemic halted production for Season 9. Pump Rules star Katie Maloney hasn’t heard anything from Bravo about the show resuming filming.

Covid-19 forced the postponement of  Lala Kent’s marriage to her man, Randall Emmett. Of course, Lala was disappointed.

But remember that infamous pregnancy pact between Lala, Katie, Stassi, and Brittany Cartwright? The Pump Rules ladies all wanted to have babies around the same time, so that their children could grow up together.

Well, it is happening! Stassi and her fiance Beau Clark announced that they are expecting a baby girl in January. Jax Taylor and his wife Brittany shared that they are also expecting their first child.

Lala also confirmed in September that she was pregnant. Emmett is a pro at fatherhood. He shares two daughters from his first marriage to actress Ambyr Childers.

Lala’s gender reveal was quite elaborate and very “Lala.” No confetti cannons for this first-time mom-to-be. A skydiver jumped out of a plane with a pink parachute, signaling that Lala is having a baby girl.

In an interview with US Weekly, Lala discussed the possibility of her baby’s birth being filmed for Vanderpump Rules. Lights! Camera! Contractions!

Lala said, “I would not be opposed to having a film crew there during the birth. For me, it’s something you’ll have forever, you know? Bring them in,” she added.

But for right now, Lala is feeling “super protective” of her bundle of joy. Randall –not so much.

“He’s, like, posting the sonogram pictures. “I’m like, ‘Can we reel it in a little bit?’ I’m on a reality TV show,” Lala explained. “I’m usually like, ‘Mention it all. The good, the bad, the ugly.’ And now all of the sudden I’m like, ‘No don’t post anything. Don’t talk about that,’” the actress revealed.

But Randall has no plans to stop celebrating his baby-to-be on social media. “I just live in the moment. … I’m older. I have a lot of friends that I don’t get to see daily,” the producer stated. Randall also wants to “post the birth of the baby” on Instagram. I am not sure that we all need to see that.

While Lala suspected that she was having a boy, Randall had no doubt that they were expecting a girl. Randall said, “I feel like I’m really good with girls. And I’m old. I feel like if we had a boy, he would be like Tarzan off the walls.”

Lala is still absorbing the news of her pregnancy. In a video clip, Lala said. “I’m a little overwhelmed by it all. I’m excited…I just don’t do well with change.” Buckle up, Lala!

And congratulations to all the Pump Rules parents-to-be!
