Honestly, it’s 2020, so anything can happen at this point. It would be the reality television crossover no one asked for heard across the Bravosphere. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Garcelle Beauvais wants now former Real Housewives of Atlanta headliner, NeNe Leakes, to come on over to Cali. Garcelle, what have we done to deserve this? Well, NeNe needs a new gig and Beverly Hills has a vacancy. Now that NeNe has been let go left her journey in Atlanta, is it possible she could pop up in the Hills?
Quite frankly, it sounds like something Andy Cohen would salivate over. His “icon” stirring things up in a completely different environment. As with the usual Bravo formula, NeNe already has existing friendships with some of the stars. And she may be in LA on the regular filming her new, sure to be successful fashion show. So I suppose it’s conceivable, in some alternate universe, that this could happen. Garcelle lost her buddy Denise Richards to bullying scandal, now she wants NeNe to come in and fill her spot. Lisa Rinna is probably shaking in her boots at the mere thought, so maybe it is a good idea after all.
It’s fun to play dress up. It’s fun to daydream. And it’s fun to imagine NeNe on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. A lot of these franchises have a bigger turnover than your local Applebee’s, but I’m not sure the greater Los Angeles area is ready for NeNe. Garcelle, on the other hand, is good to go. After NeNe announced she will not be returning to RHOA, Garcelle hopped on the Twitter and told her to join her side. She retweeted an article about NeNe’s leaving and wrote, “@NeNeLeakes Come to #rhobh”.
Then Twitter proceeded to explode. Mission accomplished, Garcelle. Lots of followers were completely against NeNe being on their television screens at all. Some still have PTSD from NeNe’s constant complaining and martyr-filled speeches. But when other commenters started posting about how NeNe would destroy the likes of Rinna, Kyle Richards, and everyone’s favorite, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave – let’s just say a few of the naysayers warmed up to the idea.

After Garcelle noticed the attention her post was getting, she wrote, “@NeNeLeakes come help a sista out #RHOBH”. Oooooo, fanning the flames, we see you. Again, Garcelle received an overwhelming amount of support for the concept. Garcelle has known NeNe for a minute. When she was hired as a Housewife, she immediately reached out to NeNe for advice.
Turns out, what NeNe told her was incredibly accurate. NeNe said, “Giiiiiiirl. They’re all gonna lie, they’re gonna cheat, they’re gonna stab you in the back.” At the time Garcelle thought NeNe was being dramatic (who, NENE?) but it turns out she was right.

Naturally NeNe spotted Garcelle’s post and responded accordingly. “On the way [laugh/cry emoji]”, she replied. Is this a realistic idea? No. Would it be killer to see NeNe towering over Kyle and Teddi, reading them for filth? That could be quite amusing. We’ll have to wait and see who shows up with a diamond next season. Maybe Brandi Glanville’s wish will come true. Maybe Sutton Stracke will go full time. And maybe, if Mercury goes into permanent retrograde, NeNe will join Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
