Below Deck Mediterranean Star Rob Westergaard Defends Captain Sandy Yawn, Bugsy Drake, And Malia White In Response To Backlash

Below Deck Mediterranean Bosun Malia White shocked viewers during the last episode when she threw former bunkmate Hannah Ferrier under the bus.  And everyone has an opinion now about an act of sabotage and callousness that garnered Hannah a lot of sympathy.  Not in the way Hannah imagined herself to warrant pity in each and every situation, but an actual victim.

First, Malia rummaged through her personal belongings to take an incriminating photo of valium that Hannah takes for anxiety.  Then Malia sent the photo to Captain Sandy Yawn, claiming that maritime law forced her to report the situation.  Of course, there was a lag time between when Malia found out about the valium and when she reported it.  The whole stunt reeked of vengeance.  Had Hannah agreed to bunk with Bugsy Drake initially, this surely wouldn’t have happened.  Fans have implicated Bugsy in the event as well, and now other crew members are sharing their views on the matter.

Rob Westergaard recently shared his opinions about the former crew members.  He is defending the actions of Malia, Bugsy, and Captain Sandy.  He even gives his former flame Jess More a shout out.

A fan account called belowdeckmedbravo shared Rob’s Instagram Story.  He captioned a picture of Malia, Bugsy, and Captain Sandy with the following text, “all of this hatred I’ve seen is so sad.  These three women are such beautiful souls.  I say that from the bottom of my heart having shared this experience with them and witnessing the power each on of them hold.  If you don’t know them for who the are I feel you should reserve your judgments.  Take a step back and put yourself in their shoes.”

Rob then mentioned flame Jess’s post about mental health, where she revealed her own struggles with anxiety.  He wrote, “shout out to Jessica for using her platform to promote a change and bring awareness to mental health.”

Rob empathizes with the women who are now finding themselves at the receiving end of online hostility as fans jump to defend Hannah.  “Knowing the impact of that on my life I put myself in the shoes of @captainsandyyawn, @maliawhite, and @bugsydrake and I can’t begin to imagine how they are feeling or what damage it’s caused them,” Rob wrote, “I encourage you all to come from a place of love.  The world needs more of that.”

Hannah had a retort for Rob, despite his good intentions in calling for peace.  She wrote, “someone is keen to come back for another season.”

TELL US- DO YOU THINK ROB IS CORRECT TO ASK FOR UNDERSTANDING?  WAS BUGSY INVOLVED?  SHOULD MALIA HAVE REPORTED THE VALIUM RIGHT AWAY? IS ROB JUST TRYING TO GET CAST FOR ANOTHER SEASON BY SUCKING UP TO SANDY, MALIA, AND BUGSY?
