With new seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After currently airing, it’s sometimes easy to forget about one of the greatest rollercoaster couples of the franchise who have arguably made more headlines while NOT in front of the cameras, but while trying to make their relationship work under real-life circumstances.
Well, hear ye! Hear ye! Big news coming from the couple that wins the award for being the hardest duo to keep up with. Between having GoFundMe accounts set up to cover housing and medical bills to filing for divorce twice in the last year and a half, it seems like things are finally looking promising for reunited couple Ashley Martson and Jay Smith.
Wanting to make a name for himself, tattoo artist Jay has decided to open up his very own shop! He took to Instagram to make the announcement by posting a photo of himself waving keys in the air in front of the modest red brick establishment that boasts a bright yellow TATTOO SHOP sign hanging above the entrance.
“As much as I enjoyed my time at Ego Ink with some amazing co-workers and boss, I have made the decision to branch off on my own! I am so excited to announce that Jay Skinz Tattoo is coming to York, Pennsylvania,” he wrote in the caption.

While sharing that the space is currently undergoing renovations with hopes of opening the shop in a month or so, he also made a point to thank those who have encouraged him along the way. “Thanks to my wife and family for supporting me in this decision and I can’t wait to see what the future holds,” he wrote. “I appreciate all the love and support from everyone and can not wait to begin this journey as a business owner.”
Side note for anyone that’s interested: They’re hiring! Jay also mentioned that he is looking to hire five artists and urged for anyone interested to get in touch with him.

The comments were flooded with support from fans and 90 Day Fiancé alumni. David Toborowsky– who appeared on the show and its various spin-offs- wrote, “Congratulations to you.” Ashley also showed some love for her on-again husband by writing “Congrats baby! I love you!”
Luckily for the pair, York, PA is just a hop, skip and a jump from Ashley’s hometown of Mechanicsburg! The proximity will come in handy as Ashley will surely want to keep an eye (or two) on the new business owner and every client with a set of XX chromosomes that walks through the door.

It’s no secret that Jay and Ashley’s marriage has been plagued with infidelity (among other things) since they first said “I do” at their 2018 Vegas nuptials. But, alas- Jay and Ashley seem to be really excited about Jay’s new venture and what the future has in store for them both. So…. here’s hoping third time’s a charm?
