Kyle Richards Says She Missed Filming Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Because Of Her Acting Career

What is happening on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season? First off, Denise Richards missed out on some filming because of her acting jobs. Denise’s disappearing act made her co-stars angry.

Now RHOBH fans have learned that “OG” Housewife Kyle Richards will also be scarce this season. In the Season 10 premiere, Kyle and her business partner, Shahida Clayton, debuted their line of resort clothing at New York’s Fashion Week.

And Kyle tapped her RHOBH co-stars Erika Jayne, Denise, Dorit Kemsley, Lisa Rinna, and Teddi Mellencamp to strut their stuff in the fashion show. But Kyle had more up her caftan-like sleeve than her clothing line.

In an interview with Refinery29, she explained why she has been less involved in RHOBH this season. “I didn’t do as much as I normally do because I was shooting Halloween Kills and launching my clothing line at the same time and getting ready for the fashion week show,” Kyle revealed. “So there were some things I had to miss out on.”

In the second RHOBH episode of the season, viewers can see Kyle twice. She Facetimes with Erika and has dinner with newbie Housewife Sutton Stracke.

The Halloween sequel, which was filmed in North Carolina, shot from July until September 2019. This overlapped with the filming schedule for RHOBH. According to Variety, Kyle once again portrays Lindsey Wallace, a role she played as a child in the 1978 film Halloween.

As one of the movie’s main actors, Kyle couldn’t just complete her work on the project in a few days.  She isn’t doing a cameo appearance–she is actually acting.  I wonder how many times we have seen Kyle hone her craft on the show? Right now, the film is slated for release in 2020.

What Kyle didn’t miss was all the Beverly Hills drama. She told Refinery29, “Whenever there is a big fight, I’m always like, ‘”Thank god I wasn’t there.’”

Kyle did go on this season’s cast trip to Rome, where a lot of drama apparently went down. “I love Italy so much and I’m just thinking about what they’re going through right now, but when we were in Rome it was filled with people and food and shopping everywhere we went,” Kyle shared. “It was so beautiful and exciting.”

It will be interesting to see how RHOBH fares with less Kyle, and no Lisa Vanderpump, this season.
