I am so happy that Real Housewives of New York returns this week! So, what can we expect? Bethenny Frankel is out, and Leah McSweeney is in with her very own apple.
Luann de Lesseps is back to drinking responsibly (we all hope.) And I am positive that there will be lots and lots of cabaret. But does the tension between Ramona Singer and Dorinda Medley continue after last season’s Angel Ball disaster?
Ramona asked Dorinda to attend the Angel Ball for a fun girl’s night out. Dorinda decided to go with Ramona instead of attending with her boyfriend, John Mahdessian. Ramona ditched poor Dorinda to sit at a swankier table and told Dorinda that they were seated at different tables. Unfortunately for Ramona, Dorinda confirmed with the seating coordinator that both ladies were seated at table 62.
So, obviously Ramona was lying. But she claimed some form of social-climbing amnesia at the RHONY reunion when Dorinda confronted her. Ramona’s ability to slide out of a sticky situation is both amazing and entertaining.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the RHONY Season 12 trailer shows some conflict between Dorinda and Ramona. The teaser seemed to point to Dorinda having anger issues. In the clip, Dorinda called Ramona a “coward.”
When Luann called Dorinda a “sick human being,” Dorinda pushed her frenemy. Later, Ramona shouted at Dorinda, “We wanna help you, don’t you understand, there’s a problem here!”

Ramona spoke to toofab about her relationship with Dorinda this season. Spoiler alert–it doesn’t sound great. Ramona explained, “Dorinda really can go from 0-100 miles an hour in one second, but this time she’d go from 0-100 miles and it wouldn’t last a second, it’d last an hour and it was very upsetting, very upsetting.” Wow!
“You’ll see her do that,” Ramona stated. “It wasn’t fun to be around. You’ll see how we all dealt with it and to see whether we were able to deal with it or not when you watch the show.” Hopefully Dorinda can “make it nice” and smooth out any tension with her fellow New York Housewives as the season progresses.
