If you haven’t binged on Love is Blind on Netflix, I have no idea what you’re waiting for. I watched back to back episodes over the course of three days. I don’t know if I’ve ever gone through a series that fast. Not even past seasons of Real Housewives on Hulu kept me at such rapt attention.
With that said, I do have a bit of a Love is Blind hangover. Meaning, I had too much of it but somehow, getting more is the only way I’m going to feel better. You know, like the hair of the dog. Maybe that sounds dramatic. But, you are talking to someone who just admitted to dedicating three days to one TV show. Moderation is not my strong suit.
Thankfully, I will get the cure to my hangover because Love Is Blind is now casting for their second season! Bustle is reporting that casting for season two is taking place, via a recent press release by the show. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the premise, contestants “date” each other in “pods” or weird little living rooms where they lay on the couch and get to know one another through an obscured glass window.
They don’t get to see each other until they actually get engaged, then they jet off to a honeymoon of sorts to get to know each other face-to-face. They then make their way back to the States to meet family and friends and (hopefully) get married.

The premise should remain the same. The main difference is that next season will feature contestants from Chicago instead of Atlanta. The now-engaged Tinsley Mortimer clearly missed the boat on her chance to find love elsewhere. Imagine that poor girl stuck in a pod without access to her potential suitor’s looks or bank account info.
Single Chicago folks can apply at loveisblind.castingcrane.com and fill out the requested info for a chance to get on the show. Despite not being able to see the person you’re falling in love with until you’re engaged, I guarantee people will be lining up to be part of the success of next season.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Daily Mail put out that Love is Blind has been picked up for two more seasons. And with good reason. Love is Blind has been a runaway success, taking the number one spot on Netflix in the United States, the UK, Germany, and Australia. It was the second most-watched program with adults 18-24 in the U.S. for the first week of March, which is nearly a month after it started streaming.
While fans ended up divided on the outcome of each relationship, I think it’s safe to say that the 10 episode series was worth the binge. I’ll be here for it next season too.
