Joe Giudice is ready to issue a mea culpa. Just a few days ago, we reported on Juicy Joe wandering the streets of Italy, complaining about everyone’s reaction to the coronavirus. In case you missed it, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star posted a video to his Instagram account, griping about the lack of people in the streets and making the absurd claim that more people die from Viagra than the coronavirus.
Now I thought about reaching out to the CDC for comment on Joe’s claims. But, I figured it might just be a waste of my time. Either way, it looks like Joe might have already seen the error of his ways before I even had my chance to refute his claims. Thank god for that. I don’t think anyone was really following Joe’s feelings on such a serious matter too closely. Still, it really was in poor taste on his part.
Now that Joe has started to see how serious the situation is, he’s busy preparing meals for elderly people who are isolated because of the safety measures to stay in quarantine. Us Weekly reports that he posted another Instagram video, this time cutting up food with an elderly woman in a nearly three-minute-long clip.
Wearing a ruffled apron, Joe captions his video, “Zia said put [phone] down put apron on! Today, a small village taught me don’t get stuck looking at my [phone] (prep for families in need); I must keep moving forward and have hope. With all the sadness that happens, we have to recognize that good happens, too.”

He continues, “We can’t allow the sadness, and especially the evil, to stop us from having hope. Don’t let media destroy your hope and faith. #hope #bighelper #smallvillage #familytime #apronstyle #lessonslearnedinlife #faith #truth.”
This attitude is a stark contrast from his last post in which he called the virus “stupid” and criticized the Italian government for making too big of a deal out of their measures to contain it.

At the time, Joe stated, “People are so scared. Unbelievable. Grow a set of cojones. Jesus. Ridiculous. Alright, I guess I’m gonna be the only one walking around working today.” Sadly, Italy has been called the European epicenter of the outbreak. There have been over 31,000 cases reported and some 2,500 deaths from the virus.
I’m heartened to see that Joe has given this more thought and turned that into a good deed for his community. Right now, we could use all the positive stories we can get, right?
