Right now, there are a lot of people social distancing during this Coronavirus madness. One of the best ways to do this is to binge-watch reality TV shows at home. Catching up on TV shows you’ve recorded is one of the few good things to do during these difficult times.
But, what about when the new episodes stop? That just might happen. Andy Cohen and the Real Housewives of Atlanta were supposed to film the Season 12 reunion, but that’s not happening now. As of this moment, it’s been postponed, not canceled.
A worried fan asked Andy, “Is the Atlanta reunion cancelled or just postponed? I gotta know!” In response, Andy tweeted, “Postponed! Omg we all need something to look forward to. And you will get it!”
As of right now, this virus is a touch and go situation. We have no idea how long the suggested quarantine will actually last. That’s why it’s tough to blame the RHOA fan who asked Andy, “soooo yall can’t do the reunion via Skype or something??” Andy replied, “We considered it for a second but figured it would stink!” When it comes down to it, a Skype reunion is better than no reunion. Or maybe it’s not. We shall see.

This reunion postponement isn’t that shocking since Andy’s main gig Watch What Happens Live announced plans to suspend production. No one has said how long the suspension will be, but that makes sense since it’s difficult to make plans during this unpredictable situation.
This discussion led to another Bravo viewer asking Andy, “so does that mean that the season 8 #PumpRules reunion taping is going to be postponed too because of the coronavirus thing going on? Or what’s going on?” In response, Andy tweeted, “Taking everything day by day.” Again, this makes sense since the Vanderpump Rules cast and crew’s safety is ver important.

But, what about the Bravo shows that have already been filmed and edited? Will there be any delay in those schedules? Or what about an early Real Housewives of New York release to entertain the quarantined fans? Someone tweeted, “Pls consider releasing RHONY S12 premiere early. Whole season would be amaze; first episode would be great; the first 15 minutes – we’ll take it. Really think it could help us all!” That’s a great idea and even Andy agreed. He tweeted, “It’s on the table, but complicated.”
Of course, there are way higher priorities during this time outside of TV watching. Nevertheless, reality TV fans are invested in their programming, especially when they are quarantined at home. We hope that our readers are being safe, washing their hands, and not touching their faces during this difficult time. Hopefully, things turn around soon.
