This affair was packed full of drama with a capital D. Many couples have realized that their journey is not quite what they expected. Sit tight while this group continues to expose all of their dirty laundry. Let’s get straight to the recap!
Mike, 34 (Seguim, Washington) and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)
Mike and Natalie’s relationship is in even worse condition, than we originally thought. The topic of their religious differences is discussed. Natalie is very religious, whereas Mike is an atheist who considers aliens a higher power. I still don’t understand how such an unlikely pair, even thought it was a good decision to date. It’s obvious neither is going to change their mindset and its affecting their relationship/
When Natalie is asked directly if she loves Mike, she still can’t say it. Apparently she fell out of love with him, after he hurt her. Both seem to play coy and try to evade the question. Natalie lets it slip that she felt betrayed which causes more questions and confusion from the curious cast. Girl, just tell us what happened! Finally Mike tells his version of the story, which we find out isn’t completely true. Apparently he spent the night at a female friend’s house. Natalie believes he cheated with this woman and that is why she doesn’t feel like she is in love anymore. Sorry, Mike but your story isn’t adding up.
Angela, 53 (Hazlehurst, Georgia) and Michael, 29 (Nigeria)
When discussing the visa process, a video is shown of Angela Deem receiving the news that Michael Ilesanmi was denied for his visa. Michael breaks down in tears watching the scene. I didn’t think it could get any worse than listening to Angela discuss having sex 48 times during her trip to Nigeria. Then the host introduces Michael’s friends via video chat. Angela immediately waves and says “Hi goofballs.” Of course, the footage shown is when his friends called her trashy. This is not going to go well.
Angela goes into an angry tirade when the host inquires as to why Michael’s friends don’t like her. Basically they double down on their statements and reiterate they believe her to be trashy. Well… they aren’t lying. Angela cursed and screamed a rebuttal but only managed to prove their point. Michael’s friends could only laugh as she threatened them through the screen. I can’t lie, it was the most entertaining part of the episode. Robert applauded Michael for standing up for his fiancé and called his friends “haters.” Chile please, have they met Angela? Who wouldn’t warn their friend against someone like her? Hell I am still not entirely convinced she isn’t handcuffing him to the bed at night, so he can’t make a quick getaway. The cast rallied around Angela, but I know they went home and laughed.
Blake, 29 (Los Angeles, California) and Jasmin, 27 (Finland)
First, who the hell styled Blake? He already was trying too hard with the Dennis the Menace hair, but now he has colored contacts too!!!!!!!!!!! Insert side eye emoji. Blake’s friends join via video chat to discuss their thoughts on his wife, Jasmin. They basically confirmed what we saw all season. She is often standoffish and they believe she feels she is above them. Blake tries to defend his wife by saying her actions are cultural, not intentional. I’m not buying it and apparently neither are Blake’s friends. Jasmin admitted that she doesn’t feel the need to spend time with her husband’s family or friends. Hopefully Jasmin will make more of an effort if she truly loves her husband.
