While fans are still reeling from the news of Vicki Gunvalson‘s exit from Real Housewives of Orange County, more trouble was brewing for the self-proclaimed OG of the OC behind the scenes and it had nothing to do with her holding an orange.
Vicki has never been shy about her dedication to her insurance business and how successful she is, but success doesn’t come without some bumps along the way. Those bumps include last year’s lawsuit brought by one of her former clients, who accused Vicki of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract. Whew, is that a mouthful of an accusation, which we remember Kelly Dodd was all too happy to bring up and throw in Vicki’s face during a fight on their cast trip to Key West. While Vicki vehemently denied the claim, Kelly’s taunts of Vicki being a con woman seemed to hit a nerve.
Lucky for Vicki, Page Six reports that the case was dismissed on January 29, without prejudice, which simply means it can’t be refiled now that it’s done.
While not a ton of information is out there regarding the details of the lawsuit’s dismissal, what we do know is that the lawsuit was originally filed by Joan Lile, an 82-year-old former client of Coto Insurance & Financial Services, after a dispute over a policy that included a special provision to cover all future medical premiums if one spouse passes away.

After the death of her husband Robert Lile, Joan alleges that Vicki “fraudulently and willfully misrepresenting to her the policies for over 20 years, throughout which time [Lile] paid ever-increasing premiums yet was ultimately denied the specific benefit on which the purchase of the policy was predicated.”
It’s unclear if Vicki got the case dismissed through some form of settlement with Joan, and Vicki tried very, very hard to bury this from the Bravo cameras.

Prior to the airing of the infamous rumble in Key West, Vicki attempted to sue Bravo to block footage of her fight with Kelly, which included Kelly calling her a “con woman” who “preys on older people” and “engaged in fraud”. We all know how that lawsuit ended after seeing the explosive footage air, much to Vicki’s dismay.
Just a few short months later, Vicki announced her departure from RHOC.
