We all know it’s coming: the demise of Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval’s bromance. We’ve seen some preview clips from Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. Even just two episodes into the season, we’ve seen some cracks in their relationship.
I assumed they resolved their issues since Tom was one of the best men in Jax’s wedding, but, apparently, that was not the case. The boys are still at odds and they’re not holding back in the press.
During an interview for Bravo’s The Daily Dish Podcast, Jax dished on the tension with Sandoval and shared his (very strong) opinions on Sandoval and Ariana Madix’s relationship. So far, the viewers have seen Tom share his grievances about Jax being less than supportive about Sandoval and Ariana’s new house.
Jax began, “You’re gonna make fun of me for [buying a house] when you’re not even in a relationship. I don’t even know what your relationship is considered anymore.”

He had even more to say. Jax remarked, “I never really understood their relationship, but then to buy a home together, it doesn’t make sense to me, but it’s not my relationship.”
He also took aim at the couple for not having children, something that Ariana has been very vocal about. Jax said, “If you were dating somebody and you’re not planning on having kids, I don’t know if it’s gonna go anywhere, would you buy a house with somebody? Maybe, I grew up differently. I’m from the midwest. I don’t know. I just don’t know.”

Still, Jax acknowledged, “It’s not my money, it’s not my business. To each their own.”
Jax theorized, “I personally think that Tom Sandoval wants to get married and he wants to have kids. I think there’s two things in life we can’t cheat, right? Taxes and time. We’re not getting any younger. We’re getting up there. If you want kids, now’s the time to do it. And if you don’t, that’s fine, but make sure you really don’t. Don’t just stay in a relationship to stay in a relationship because you’ve got the house and you got the dog and it’s ‘easier.'”

The interviewer remarked, “There’s a pattern on this show of people staying in relationships past their expiration point, do you think that’s what they’re doing?” In response, Jax said, “Yes. What I think is, they’re glorified roommates.”
The Vanderpump Rules OG continued, “I just really think they’re both good people. I think they both want different things. Tom wants to be out every night and Ariana wants to be in her bedroom every night, watching movies. I just don’t understand their relationship, but it’s really not for me to understand. It doesn’t make sense to me. Nothing adds up.”

Ultimately, Jax says, “They’re both good people. I just don’t think they’re compatible. I just don’t think it’s gonna last forever.” Damn.
