When Tom Schwartz isn’t in the hot seat for blacking out and kissing women who aren’t Katie Maloney, he’s usually stuck in the middle of his two best friends. It’s no secret that there is a sort of hierarchy (in the guy’s heads) among Tom 2, Tom Sandoval, and Jax Taylor. Tom 1 and Jax are often at odds over who gets to be the “number one guy” in the group. The tension between those two is definitely going to be at the forefront of Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. January 7 cannot come fast enough!
We’re also going to see a lot of things we never thought we’d see on Pump Rules this season. First, Jax gets married – to Kentucky sweetheart Brittany Cartwright. Then Stassi Schroeder gets engaged to Beau Clark. And rumor has it we will actually see Randall Emmett, Lala Kent’s fiancé on camera. As much as things change though, they also stay the same.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Tom 2 teased that he “can’t talk too much about it,” but the fight between his two best friends put him, “in the middle and it was very stressful.”
Schwartz also told Us Weekly that he’s “a moderator by nature. I don’t like when they fight.” No doubt he was in the middle, but it might be good for Tom if he acted less like a moderator and grew a pair. Even though I don’t usually agree with Katie, as her husband, he could be less of a neutral party and more of an advocate for his wife.

Tom also shared that Jax’s bachelor party was “very bizarre,” but “in the best way possible.” He even said, “friendships that you never thought you would ever see are forged and there’s lots of highs and milestones.”
Most importantly, he maintains that Pump Rules remains the most authentic show on Bravo, saying its authenticity is “unrivaled,” and, “if the show was fake or soft scripted it would’ve came out [by now].” Stop teasing and just show us this new season already!
