The war between NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey continues- one interview at a time. As we all know, NeNe dropped Cynthia when Kenya Moore showed up to Cynthia’s party during the Season 12 finale. Cynthia had a hot mic moment that was extremely suspicious. She told her man Mike Hill that she was “supposed to pretend like” she didn’t know Kenya was coming. Girl, why whisper when you’re still wearing a microphone?
It looked even worse for Cynthia when the editing team included audio from a super suspicious phone conversation with Kandi Burruss. Again, girl, don’t forget the microphones. After a whole season of seemingly unreasonable behavior, NeNe finally had a case. Cynthia’s behavior looked shady as hell! But was it the end of the world that Kenya showed up for a party? No, but don’t tell NeNe that.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, NeNe said, “I think a lot of people over the years have felt I was the more aggressive one in our relationship, or she was following me around or something to that effect, and that’s not the case.” Cynthia does seem to have some strong follower tendences. First with NeNe, then Kenya, and now she’s all about Eva Marcille.
NeNe claimed, “Cynthia definitely has a side to her that, for whatever reason, Bravo has not shown that side of her.” She elaborated, “Yes, I honestly think that she — not honestly — I know that she has a side to her that is not a kind side.”

The interviewer asked if finding love with Mike has softened Cynthia and NeNe was not happy about that question. She responded, “What’s that got to do with it?” Then, NeNe said, “Who you are on the inside is really who you are. It doesn’t matter who you’re with. You can cover it up for a little while, but that little side thing, little person, is going to come out and show up at some point.”
She continued, “That person shows up. I’m not saying that she’s a bad person, I’m not saying she’s not a nice person, I’m just saying that there’s a side to her, just like there would be a side to anyone. I think there’s good and bad in everybody.” But, will we see this on the show? We will find out as Season 12 continues!
