Rookie mistake? Braunwyn Windham-Burke made the moves on Tamra Judge not once but twice this week on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
At Shannon Beador‘s hot mess express-themed birthday party, the RHOC newbie swapped saliva with the show’s reigning vet at the dinner table before things got even more NSFW in a banquette next to the dance floor. In a new interview, Braunwyn is claiming she had no idea the cameras caught her steamy hook-up with Tamra. However, some of her cast mates aren’t so sure they buy into the naïveté.
“That was like a P-13 kiss,” Braunwyn told Shannon during the RHOC Aftershow of her first lip-lock with Tamra. “But the banquette, we started to get to some R shit.”
While the revelation that there was possibly more than saliva swapping happening between her new pal and her BFF left Shannon clutching her pearls during the interview, Braunwyn insisted she was sure the more X-rated moments wouldn’t be captured by production.

“Well I thought no one could see us,” she said, “because we were behind the…We weren’t sitting, I was straddling her. And so we were behind that table and I’m like, ‘No one’s gonna notice.’ And then I look up and the camera’s literally right there.”
The newcomer’s excuse led Shannon to deliver a cold dose of reality. “K, when you’re mic’d…and you whisper…they hear it, Braunwyn,” she flatly educated her giggling co-star. “Note to file.”

During a separate Aftershow interview, Gina Kirschenheiter aired stronger judgements about Braunwyn‘s camera-ready girl crush on the self-proclaimed hottest Housewife in Orange County.
“It’s hard for me because I can never really tell if Braunwyn‘s trying to, like, kiss her face or kiss her ass more,” deadpanned Gina, who — to be clear — has done nothing this season but kiss Tamra‘s ass herself. “She needs a proctologist to get out of there, for sure…I just have a problem, I feel like everything she does is like, to say that she does it.”

Emily Simpson, meanwhile, had a more sensible — and much less hypocritical — theory that Braunwyn “would do anything for the other women to like her,” while Kelly Dodd agreed that the newbie is “trying too hard.”
“So if that means making out with Tamra, then that’s what she’s gonna do,” Emily concluded. “But I do feel like she goes above and beyond for shock value.”

All I know is that, while yes, the new girl can get a little extra, I’d choose Braunwyn with her questionable threesome stories and terrible dolphin laugh over Peggy Sulahian‘s rudimentary grasp of the English language any day.
