Tamra Judge is back for her 12th–yes–12th season of the Real Housewives of Orange County. In that time, she has co-starred with–and emotionally exhausted–19 other Housewives. As Vicki Gunvalson is now a Friend of, Tamra is the new reigning queen of the show. Like it or not!
On the most recent RHOC episode, reigning queen Tamra was moving her mother into a senior apartment and found out that she has been storing something that Tamra would probably rather forget. No, not embarrassing lawsuits, her son Ryan Vieth’s shameful antics or nemesis Gretchen Rossi–her old wedding dress from her toxic marriage to Simon Barney.
It is an age-old question–what does one do with a wedding dress from a marriage that ended in an ugly divorce? Turn it into throw pillows? Use it as a dust mop? Alter it for your next trip down the aisle? If you are Tamra, you decide to pass the dress on to someone else.
In a recent Instagram post, Tamra announced that she will be giving away the wedding dress from her marriage to Simon this weekend. She posted, “#weddingdayWednesday do you know someone that is in need of a size 2 WHITE wedding dress? I’m giving my wedding dress away to someone in need. It’s in perfect condition (only worn once),” followed by a laughing emoji.

Don’t you love how Tamra specified that the dress is WHITE? Since the dress was for her second marriage, maybe she thought there might be some snickering about the color. I think etiquette rules state that snickering about white wedding dresses is only appropriate for third and beyond marriages. You’re safe, Tamra, at least with dress #2. All bets are off for dress #3 from her marriage to Eddie Judge.
Of course, Tamra being Tamra, there is bit of a catch to winning the dress. In order to sign up for the wedding dress lottery, you have to follow her new CBD company. You also have to tag a friend. That Tamra–always thinking about promotions! The other disclaimers are that you have to tell Tamra why you would like the dress and you must live in the USA.

Promoting her new business and cleaning house is a win-win for Tamra. It is difficult to imagine that many women would want an outdated 20 year old wedding dress, so I bet that many of the contest entries will just want the dress for its connection to Tamra. And then promptly auction it off on Ebay for some cold, hard cash.
Realistically, what do you do with an old wedding dress? I suppose Tamra could have asked one of her children if they wanted it for sentimental reasons. Considering her ugly divorce from Simon, probably not!

Other options? Tres Amiga Shannon Beador is in a new romance, but would likely go for couture if she remarries. Other Tres Amiga Vicki is engaged, but probably bought a dress after her second date with Steve Lodge. As Tamra now lives in Coto de Caza, she could have driven by Jeana Keough’s house and thrown the dress in her driveway, with a note saying, “You might like this special memento as you were so involved in the end of my marriage!”
So, if you are in desperate need of a 1990’s style wedding dress, this is your golden opportunity. All for free. Plus, the connection to Tamra is priceless!
