Love is brewing on Below Deck Mediterranean. There were high hopes for two couples hooking up. Aesha Scott and Jack Stirrup have an undeniable connection. Hannah Ferrier and Travis Michalzik had potential but then the Chief Stew backed out of their date.
This romance definitely fizzled out last episode. After canceling their date due to Travis‘ afternoon alcohol consumption, Hannah asked that Travis pace himself on their crew day off. He ended passing out at some swanky Monte Carlo restaurant. Which does prove Hannah’s point. Travis, however, is questioning her reason for cancelling last minute.
On the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4 After Show, the Sirocco crew reacted to the cancelled date. Hannah explained her logic, “I know people who’ve said they haven’t been drinking and they have. I know you’re drunk. To me I was like, why would you get drunk at 3 o’clock in the afternoon when you know you’re going to dinner that night?”
“If he had two beers in the afternoon, that’s fine, but there’s a big difference between that and being drunk. And I don’t want to go to have dinner with a drunk person,” Hannah continued, “like, unless we’ve been at a mimosa brunch and I’m drunk as well, I don’t want to be hanging around you.”

Travis denied that he was drunk that afternoon. He described himself as, “super coherent” and “not dribbling on myself or any stupid s–t.” Needless to say, Travis does not accept Hannah’s explanation, “to be honest, I think that Hannah probably just wanted to get out of it, and she saw a f–king opening. And she went, ‘Yeah, cool, Trav is pissed. I’m gonna use that as an excuse.'”
Aesha was happy that she got to spend a solo evening with Jack. “I was actually quite stoked because I was like, I don’t really want to go on a double date. Like, if you’re going to go on a date, it’s because you’re trying to get to know the person,” she said, “and if Han and Trav came, we would just be having our same boat banter the whole time. You’re not really learning about the other person. Hannah and I were so tight, they’re so tight. I don’t know. It would have just been like friends hanging out. It was actually great that Trav got that drunk. He can get drunk any time.” Oh he does, he certainly does.

Bosun Joao Franco agreed that the dynamic was better without Travis and Hannah. He said, “I think if they had gone out, Travis and Jack would have come home together though. The girls would have come home together and those two would have come home about 3 a.m. together. Obviously, Jack carrying Travis.”
Maybe Hannah was just being polite and didn’t mention the three-piece tweed getup. There are a lot of reasons not to like a person.
