During the past year, former Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino has been more in the public eye. Last summer, she and Jim Bellino announced that they were divorcing. Earlier this year, Alexis made her new relationship with Andy Bohn Instagram official. A short time later, Andy’s estranged wife Andrea Bohn pleaded for media privacy for their children in light of Alexis’ very public romantic announcement. Oh, Alexis!
It seems that all this new public attention may have whetted Alexis’ appetite for the spotlight once again. So what does one do to get back on reality television? As RHOC does not seem to be in any hurry to invite Alexis back, other options had to be explored. Fortunately for Alexis, she has now found her way back to the limelight. Did we ever really doubt that day would come?
Alexis announced on Instagram that she will be on the new season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars-Family Edition with her mother Penelope. Dramatic as ever, Alexis teases, “Oh boy. The trailer is out for this. October 11th on WE TV. Put your seatbelts on because it is not fun to dig deep. But my mom and I come out stronger than ever before…after MANY hurdles with this crew.”
Just who might this hurdling crew be that Alexis is talking about? WE tv has announced the new cast. In addition to Alexis, Corey Feldman, Aaron Carter and Basketball Wives’ Laura Govan, plus their assorted family members, will be on the upcoming season.

Knowing this crew, I think Alexis will probably spend as much time navigating their drama as she does with her own mother! But maybe not, as WE tv also shared that Alexis and her mother “suffer from years of pent up resentment.”
OK–I will admit I am a bit intrigued by the “suffering from years of pent up resentment” statement. Plus, seeing Alexis interact with her eclectic castmates will be worth at least one viewing of the show. And what will Alexis be like now that she is free of her “King,” Jim? Is she different than she was on RHOC? Freer? More open? Not as materialistic?

Alexis further shared in her Instagram post, “I’m not proud of some of my moments, but falling only means you pick yourself back up stronger. You don’t let failures define you. But you do let challenges build you. Love you all so much @cdogg22 @aaroncarter @lauramgovan.”
A cast of only four reality celebs will probably not allow for as much deflecting of personal issues as there will be more time for everyone to be on the hot seat. As Alexis was never great at dealing with conflict on RHOC, Boot Camp might be very uncomfortable for her. Another reason for watching!

Alexis joins a long line of former Housewives who have been on various editions of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, including Kim Richards, Brandi Glanville, Amber Marchese, Aviva Drescher and Gretchen Rossi. I can’t say the show has done much for their careers, but maybe Alexis will find a way to use the platform to jump start her television career. Did I really just say that?
