Another day, another offensive remark from Southern Charm star Shep Rose. No, he didn’t call Madison LeCroy “white trash” again. But, who could forget when he asked Austen Kroll to demand that Madison “shut the f*ck up”? Shep has not been the most likable guy this season.
It’s hard to watch the latest episodes and not cringe in response to his remarks. Well, it got even worse and this time on Instagram Story.
Shep posted a video to his Instagram story mocking a homeless man. Thankfully, it seems like the post was deleted, but it’s 2019. Of course, someone captured (and re-posted) the video.
In the video, Shep pointed a camera at a homeless woman and yelled “Look at me! Nice cans! I mean the cans you have!” Then, he pointed the camera at a pile of garbage bags full of cans. The woman covered her face to hide from the camera and she just told Shep “No, no, no.”

Over the video, Shep wrote, “I love double entendres. Yes she was camera shy. But she laughed.” Really? She kept saying “No, no, no” in response. There is zero chance that she found this to be funny.
In response, Shep wrote “Omg. I offended you! Ok. Here’s the plan, sensitivity training 5 times a week. Then intensive therapy (hot yoga?) followed by a public flogging in the town square. Then i move to Siberia and live in an igloo for 4 months. At this point. I think I’ll be cleansed of your disapproval.” Wow. I have no words for this level of ignorance and complete lack of understanding about why his actions were so offensive.

Fans were outraged by the video and posted tweets tagging Andy Cohen and the Bravo network. One person tweeted, “@BravoTV and @Andy what are you gonna do about that disgusting video your employee @ShepRose posted of him drunkenly harassing a woman on the street? What an embarrassment for the @BravoTV network. Is this [really] the kinda behavior you wanna promote? Get him off TV.”
Instead of apologizing for a mistake, Shep responded with sarcasm. Shaking. My. Damn. Head. Shep wrote, “Always get a chuckle when people try to send me to the principles office. I bet you were a scream in high school!” Shep, no. So much no. That is not what this is at all. The video was cruel, unnecessary, and insensitive.

As of this moment, Andy hasn’t responded, but maybe he will give the “jackhole” designation on an episode of Watch What Happens Live. Is Shep ever going to face the consequences of his behavior? Is there a morality clause in his trust fund? Someone needs to teach this manchild man a lesson.
