On last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance The Other Way, we saw how the Americans are adjusting to life in their significant other’s countries. I have to say most aren’t faring well. Is the prerequisite for meeting and marrying a person in a short amount of time from another country that you don’t ask any questions? I swear most of these people are shocked by the conditions of their new homes. Did you not video chat or do any research? Delusional and unprepared isn’t a good mix. Let’s break down this episode and the lives of naive and restless.
Tiffany Franco and her son, Daniel are still in South Africa. After exploring, Tiffany and Ronald Smith are shocked Daniel wants to go back to the US. Hmmm…. Maybe it’s because you told him that he could be kidnapped and could never use electronics in public. Yea, I think that would be enough for most 8-year-olds to be done with any place. Tiffany, maybe you should have really thought about how this move would affect your son. While at dinner, Daniel questions why Ronald can’t just come to America. He realizes very quickly his mother is hiding something from him. Little does he know his “dad” has a criminal history and addiction problems. SMH….
Tiffany, 27 (Frederick, Maryland) & Ronald, 29 (South Africa)
Ronald and Tiffany will be getting married in a few days. The two go out for dinner alone to have a discussion. Tiffany finally wants to have a conversation about the specifics of his charges. Ummmm…don’t you think you should have asked these questions BEFORE agreeing to marry and involve your son with this man!?

Between the theft and the drug and gambling addictions all signs would point to a “NO” for me! Hopefully, Tiffany won’t come home one day to find Ronnie robbing her. She is putting a lot of trust in someone who has stolen from his own mother. Good luck, girl.
Deavan, 22 (Salt Lake City, Utah) & Jihoon, 29 (South Korea)
Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee go for a romantic dinner alone. When she goes to the bathroom, Jihoon asks the waitress to put an engagement ring in a ginger ale. I guess it wasn’t well thought out plan because he ends up downing the entire glass to get the ring out. Deavan is her usual self and shows no emotion. Poor Jihoon is so nervous he breaks glasses and keeps apologizing. He probably was thinking about little Drascilla and went into a full anxiety attack.
Jihoon and his parents are leaving to go back to South Korea. Deavan looks like she is on the verge of another breakdown. She will be moving in with her fiancé in 2 months. It seems like it’s just hitting her that she is going to be leaving everything she knows for Jihoon. This girl literally walks around like she is in a daze, so it may actually be the first time she really thought about that. SMH…

Paul, 35 (Louisville, Kentucky) & Karine, 22 (Brazil)
Karine Staehle decides she wants to be with her family so they can help with her baby. In order to get there she and Paul Staehle will have make a difficult trip into the Amazon. The doctor clears Karine for the trip, despite her high risk pregnancy. The last time Paul was wandering in the Amazon he was robbed. No wonder he doesn’t want to make this trip. OMG…. If I have to see Paul running again on my screen, I will die of laughter.

Paul should have ripped muscles. He has had to carry a million bags everywhere since the show started. Paul has opted for a private room on the boat for the 5-day voyage. Karine tries to get some sleep as Paul screams about the mosquitoes and brown water in the bathroom. Karine is hopeful that her husband will change, but I know better. I don’t know how a paranoid, hypochondriac, germaphobe thought he could survive living in the Amazon without constant anxiety. Sorry Paul, but your plight makes for good TV.
Jenny, 60 (Palm Springs, California) & Sumit, 30 (India)
Jenny and Sumit worry about the fate of their relationship in India. Sumit still hasn’t told his family the truth about his intentions. Last episode, a lawyer told the couple a notice would be mailed to his parents’ house before they could wed. This complication will force Sumit to actually man up if he truly wants to marry Jenny. Ugh… I hope he isn’t going to fold when his parents tell him to abandon Jenny and return home. Even Jenny seems nervous that he won’t fight for them to be together.

Sumit is cutting Jenny’s toenails when he receives several messages from his father. I will just leave that alone… He steps outside to call his father and is bombarded with questions about his location. His family even threatens to have someone come get him if he doesn’t return home. Sumit decides the only way to appease his parents is to voluntarily return.
Corey, 31 (Mill A, Washington) & Evelin, 26 (Ecuador)
Corey, Corey, Corey! Are you an idiot? You have left your family and nice life for a woman who is using you!!! Corey gave Evelin $7,000 to buy a car that wouldn’t even be worth $500 in the US. I’m surprised the dust bucket even drives. Evelin has had it with Corey’s complaints about life in her small town. I don’t understand why the money he has given her hasn’t gone further. Evelin may have had the roof fixed, but she didn’t do anything else to fix her house.

It still boggles my mind how he decided to move somewhere without asking about thr living conditions. It would have been an easy decision for me. No running water or normal toilet, thanks, but no thanks. Tinder, here we come!
