Even though Southern Charm’s Thomas Ravenel is no longer on the show, his nasty custody case with ex Kathryn Dennis is playing out in the public eye.
Thomas thinks he has a smoking gun thanks to cell phone records. He wants to prove that he is merely a victim of a media hungry young woman with a drug problem.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Thomas stated that Kathryn’s cell phone records will prove she was working with his ex-nanny Dawn Ledwell, and producers from the show, on the sexual assault case against him. Allegedly, Kathryn and Dawn were in “constant” contact before and during the day the charges of assault were filed.
Thomas claims Dawn first accused him in December 2015 because “[he] hired an additional nanny, Diedre, to care for Kensie and Saint.” However, the nanny did not make the accusations public until 2018. And Thomas believes that was due to Kathryn’s influence. “The more information uncovered about Kathryn’s activities, the more Kathryn was found to be connected to Dawn,” he wrote.

Thomas believes Kathryn worked with Dawn stems after he asked her to take a drug test. After he made that request, Dawn filed her complaint.
Kathryn’s cell phone records show she spoke with Dawn twice that day. She also called a producer from Southern Charm.
The other piece to the puzzle is a credit card statement. Thomas claims Kathryn’s statement shows a $20,000 payment to a law firm the day the complaint was filed against him. Still, this was before it became public knowledge.

Thomas says Kathryn sent supportive messages while she worked with the nanny. “It disgusts and horrifies me to find out she was communicating with [Dawn] and procuring an attorney the same time she was sending me these messages,” he stated.
Apparently, “the prospect of wealth, fame, and a spot on a reality tv show made me a magnet for women who are interested in me for the wrong reasons.”
I wonder what the right reasons would be to date Thomas. Boy, to be a fly on the courtroom wall for those two cases. It will be interesting to see what Kathryn’s response will be to his most recent accusations.
