Just because Thomas Ravenel was fired left Southern Charm, doesn’t mean he won’t be in the news almost every day. Thomas and Kathryn Dennis have two children together. They also share a history of substance abuse.
A lot of their couple drama played out on camera. But it’s what has transpired behind the scenes that’s been newsworthy. In 2018, Thomas was accused of sexual battery after meeting someone on a dating app in 2015. But it didn’t end there. During the same year, a nanny employed by Thomas alleged he sexually assaulted her in 2015 as well. This case is currently awaiting trial. Kathryn was subjected to repeated drug tests, which she passed, and regained 50/50 custody of her children.
While Thomas waits to go to court for assault, he has pretty much subpoenaed everyone in the greater Charleston area regarding his custody case with Kathryn. He has called on Andy Cohen, Patricia Altschul, requested Kathryn’s medical records – you name it, he wants it. Now Thomas is accusing Kathryn of something else, and it just gets worse from here.
Thomas claimed that Kathryn recently tested positive for marijuana. According to The Blast, Thomas hauled ass to court and demanded Kathryn be stripped of custody. “Ravenel says on June 13, 2019, both he and Dennis were told to submit to a drug test by the court. They had to give blood, alcohol, urine and hair drug tests. He claims that on June 14, while in the possession of the children, Kathryn produced a urine test positive for marijuana, benzodiazepines, and amphetamines.” Thomas says her prescriptions for benzodiazepines and amphetamines are legit, but the weed is a no-no.

Kathryn is disputing the result, saying the drug tests involving hair were negative and only the urine test was positive. I’m not an expert on drug tests, but I would have to think if you participate in them on a regular basis, you’re probably not going to risk it by DOING DRUGS. Thomas is fighting this by saying, Kathryn “wears wigs, has hair extensions and routinely bleaches and dyes her hair, which would make her hair tests unreliable.”
Then Thomas backtracks and admits Kathryn produced a negative urine test after her positive test, “but the marijuana detected in the June 14, 2019 test could have been flushed out of her urine by that time.” I’m no Snoop Dogg, but does the ganga leave your system overnight? Or is Kathryn some kind of kidney-flushing super hero?

T-Rav claims that Kathryn has also purchased fake urine online. His proof is a credit card statement from their first court episode, it showed a $315 purchase from an online store. Was it the Fake Pee For Drug Tests store? In the transaction memo, did it say, “for use of passing a drug test only”? How did Thomas determine what a random $315 charge was on her statement? Thomas goes on to claim Kathryn doesn’t spend any time with the kids and they are usually with her mother. Didn’t Thomas keep his kids in a completely different house when he had custody?
But it doesn’t stop there, no siree. Thomas says Kathryn’s shopping habits have gone haywire. He alleges she is spending “tens of thousands of dollars on designer clothes and then forgetting to pay her water bill. He says her bank statements show Dennis spending over $85,000 on clothing, hair, and makeup in 2018 and over $90k in 2017.”

This is something that Kathryn has admitted to and says she is working to improve her financial status. Her rental home has recently gone on sale and Thomas is also selling his Brookland Plantation home. The cost of these never-ending legal bills is putting a dent in both parties’ wallets. That won’t stop Thomas though, he is like the Terminator. If the Terminator were an old, washed-up politician facing jail time.
Thomas is requesting the court “award him sole custody of their kids”. Furthermore, he wants Kathryn to only have supervised visitations every other weekend. Kathryn has not responded to the allegations.

I’m on #teamkids here. These two are ridiculous and need help. The children are better off being raised by a family of wolves at this point. Are Kensie and Saint better off with a mom that ALLEGEDLY smokes herb and spends a lot of money OR a dad who has been arrested for ALLEGEDLY sexually assaulting more than one person? The wolves might be the best bet.
