90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After Star Debbie Johnson Comments On Larissa Dos Santos Lima’s Legal Status

Debbie Johnson was always the third wheel to the marriage of Colt Johnson and Larissa Dos Santos Lima.  The two 90 Day Fiance stars are now divorced, but that has not discouraged Debbie from being any less involved in her son’s life.

Colt filed for divorce the day of Larissa’s third arrest in January.  But Larissa found her footing quickly and publicly introduced a new boyfriend, Eric, shortly thereafter.  Now that Larissa has moved out of the family home, Debbie is left with trying to manage public opinion on Instagram and play at being an immigration attorney.

Us Weekly reported on an Instagram message that Debbie posted and subsequently deleted.  It started innocently enough.  She wrote, “now let’s try this again. I am posting a picture of my son on my Instagram page. Any mean or sick comments will be deleted. This is not a question and answer page. That will come later. Have a great day.”

It quickly became a Q & A session when one follower wrote, “I’m just wondering. If you divorced your wife why is she still in America? Shouldn’t she be sent back to Brazil? Just wondering.”

Debbie responded, “everything takes time.  There is still a Domestic Violence hearing next week and after that she will be deported.  It just takes time.”  Is this incorrect assumption concerning Larissa’s confidential legal status the reason Debbie deleted the whole post?  Fortunately for reality TV junkies, blogger John Yates captured the exchange and posted it on his Instagram.

According to an article by Newsweek, the hearing took place on May 30th during which Larissa appeared in court for “negotiations.”  Larissa was found guilty of domestic battery.  But, according to her attorney Adam M. Vander Heyden, “everything went according to plan. The judge accepted the negotiations to reduce her case down to disorderly conduct upon successful completion of her requirements.”

If Debbie was hoping to have Larissa deported it seems she may be disappointed.  Larissa only has to pay a $345 fine and serve 48 hours of community service to fulfill her legal obligations.  Heyden concluded that, “after consulting with her immigration attorney, this negotiation will not impede her ability to obtain citizenship.”
