Naomie Olindo Defends Cameran Eubanks Calling Her Boyfriend “Exotic”

Okay can we all agree Cameran Eubanks might be going through a little something? The rookie parent could very well have a case of Mom Brain. And if you don’t already know, it’s a real affliction. Symptoms include forgetfulness, sleep deprivation, and saying weird things. Case in point, on a recent episode of Southern Charm, we saw Cam low key flirting with Craig Conover (I would). She also seemed to be considering smoking the jazz cabbage in an effort to deal with the trials and tribulations of motherhood.

Life has been hectic for Cameran since her baby was born. She has encountered obstacles returning to her real estate career, as well as juggling her return to social gatherings. Her awkward flirting didn’t stop with Craig. Enter Naomie Olindo’s boyfriend. Metul Shah is the new meat man on campus and Cam can’t take it. The resident physician in anesthesiology took Cameran’s breath away, and maybe her ability to think before she speaks.

If you were watching, you knew when it happened. That moment someone utters words that border on being inappropriate. Cameran said, “This is probably the finest man I’ve ever seen in real life. He is tall, dark and handsome. And exotic.” Okay, we should keep in mind Cameran hasn’t been getting out much lately.

Then she says, “We don’t have too many of them in Charleston.” Yikes. I get it, perhaps we rightfully live in a sensitive society these days. But in an age of political correctness, someone is always offended by something.

So what did Naomie think of the comment in question? According to People, Naomie said, “Since when is that an insult? [Cameran] loves Metul and he loves her back. Let’s not make a mountain out of a mole hill.” Naomie went on to state Metul wasn’t bothered by Cameran’s statements at all.

I don’t think it was necessarily Cameron’s use of the word “exotic”. I put on Hawaiian Tropic and call myself exotic. Where I live, if a man doesn’t wear flip flops with cargo shorts, he is considered exotic. I think people had issue with, “we don’t have too many of them in Charleston.” Either way, I don’t believe she meant for it to be inappropriate. I would prefer to judge Cameran on her defense of professional gum chewer Eliza Limehouse. That is the real questionable act here.

TELL US- DO YOU THINK CAMERAN’S COMMENTS WERE INAPPROPRIATE? DOES CAMERAN NEED TO WATCH WHAT SHE SAYS? ARE YOU SURPRISED METUL WASN’T OFFENDED?
