The latest Vanderpump Rules reunion turned into the Everyone Hates James Kennedy three-part special. Almost the entire cast of the show had it out for him. You would think he had kidnapped all of their firstborns. But it all boiled down to James rapping about Jax Taylor cheating, and a fat shaming comment to Katie Maloney, that united the cast against him.
The only cast members to stick up for him during the reunion were Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, and Raquel Leviss. Which is not a surprise, as Raquel is James girlfriend. And Tom has been a vocal advocate for James all season. He even confronted Katie and called her a bully. But where was James’ other supposed ally, Scheana Marie, in all this mess?
During the reunion, Scheana sat right next to James, but was mum during any drama involving him. Which was basically the entire thing. Scheana spoke to Entertainment Tonight and discussed why she was quiet during the reunion and her thoughts on James being on the show.
She said about the reunion, “Sometimes it’s better to not say anything. I have nothing personally to do with this, so why am I going to yell just to get camera time? It’s not my thing.” I guess when you don’t have “hang a TV in seven minutes” Rob Valletta to wax on about, you don’t have much to say.

I am surprised that Scheana didn’t defend James at all during the reunion. She should take notes from Ariana on how to be friends with James and the witches of WeHo, Stassi Schroeder, Katie, and Kristen Doute all at the same time.
Scheana said, “You know, James has hurt a lot of people…I’m not one of them, so I do see where everyone else is coming from, but I just kind of try and stay out of that…I’m the person who wants everyone to be friends and I’m friends with everyone, and I’m always in the middle.”
To be honest, besides James, it seems like Scheana doesn’t have any real friends on this show. The scene where Scheana sat idly by at a table while Ariana and Stassi celebrated their joint birthday party together was very telling.

Scheana does feel that James belongs on the show. She said, “He’s definitely part of the group, just a small part of the group…maybe like an eighth of the group.”
I’m not sure where she gets that math from, but I do know there is power in numbers. And let’s hope that next season James has a few more allies in his corner, including Scheana.
