It has been a wild roller coaster of a ride lately for Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent. Sadly, Lala’s father passed away in April of 2018. This devastated Lala and had an enormous effect on Lala’s well-being. She raged against James Kennedy, his girlfriend Raquel Leviss, and Billie Lee during a brunch at Sur. So, what was the cause? Raquel mentioned Lala’s father. And Lala just can’t stand James.
Lala stopped drinking because of a pact that she made with her fiancé Randall Emmett, which was odd since she was taking her co-stars to Solvang to tour vineyards. Lala’s situation was much worse than everyone thought, and Lala admitted that she has an addiction to alcohol. Lala recently celebrated six months of sobriety, and credits AA with saving her life.
Randall and Lala were recently swept up in a social media war with Curtis James Jackson III, also known as 50 Cent. The rapper posted a clip from Vanderpump Rules that featured Lala sharing how she received a Range Rover after letting Randall “hit it” on the same night that they met. Sigh. 50 Cent said Randall owed him $1 million dollars and hadn’t repaid the loan. Randall landed in the hospital due to stress from 50 Cent’s scare tactics. Then, like a miracle, Randall paid off his debt. I am going out on a limb by predicting that 50 Cent will not be performing at Lala and Randall’s wedding reception.
In an article in Page Six, sources revealed that Lala and Randall will be walking down the aisle on April 18, 2020. No further wedding plans have been revealed yet, but Lala already has babies on her mind. According to another article in Page Six, Lala told Jenny McCarthy on SiriusXM’s “The Jenny McCarthy Show” that she cannot wait to be a mother. “Yes, that’s all I want in my whole life is to be a mama,” Lala shared. “We originally said two years after we get married, but Rand told me that we can start like right after we get married.” Lala enjoys spending time with Randall and his daughters, London and Rylee, from his previous marriage.

Randall popped the question in September of 2018 while the couple was celebrating Lala’s birthday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In an interview in People, Lala gushed, “This weekend has been an amazing one for the two of us! It was definitely the most romantic moment of my life. Every detail of the surprise was stunning and I’m still in shock.” Randall really went all out while proposing to Lala. He set up a screen so that Lala could watch her favorite show, Friends. The screen started showing pictures of the duo during their relationship. Randall got on his knee and proposed while a private fireworks display lit up the sky.
“Randall had told me that he had asked my dad permission to marry me earlier this year before my father passed away which is such an incredible gift because I lost my dad suddenly,” Lala explained. “I believe my father was definitely with us last night in spirit, which makes me even happier and our parents are thrilled!”

I am looking forward to hearing about all the wedding details. Will Randall be flying the guests in on “PJ’s” (private jets?) Does James have any shot of being invited to this wedding? Will Lala ask Brittany Cartwright to be a bridesmaid, even though Brittany seemingly excluded Lala from her bridal party? Maybe she changed her mind after that “trip of a lifetime” to mexico on “Randall’s” private jet.
