When Vanderpump Rules first premiered, the cast members were living in apartments that were falling apart. Now, the show is a major hit and we all know they’re making a lot more money than their “shifts at SUR” provide. Not that most of them actually work at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant anymore. Let’s be honest.
They are popular reality stars now. They are pulling in that Instagram ad money, getting paid for club appearances, and launching products. Not only that, but Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz are part owners of the bar TomTom with Lisa and Ken Todd. So, they’re making major cash right? Apparently not. Or at least that’s what Sandoval’s girlfriend Ariana Madix says.
During a recent episode of the Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino podcast, Ariana dished on the current Vanderpump Rules season. As we all saw during the Season 7 finale, Ariana has no problem speaking her mind. She confronted LVP about shading Tom and Tom (many times over). Of course, the conversation did not go anywhere. Lisa just told her to “lighten up.”
During the episode, Ariana brought up a pretty valid point: contracts are standard procedure when owning a business. Conversely, Lisa said that she and her partners at SUR opened up the restaurant based on a handshake and zero paperwork. Clearly, things are going very well at SUR. They both had valid viewpoints.

However, Ariana had a very interesting revelation about that business partnership. Danny Pellegrino asked, “Has [Sandoval] seen any money from that?”
Immediately, Ariana said, “No.” However, she might have regretted that admission. Then she said, “Maybe. I don’t know if I should clarify. Am I allowed to say that? ” Ultimately, she concluded, “but, no” he has not seen one dollar.
Then Ariana brought up a comment that Sandoval receives a lot. Ariana shared, “People are like ‘Why are you bartending at SUR if you own TomTom?’ And I’m like ‘because he really does go behind the bar and he’s making tips.’ And he loves doing it.” But also, he’s (allegedly0 not getting paid at TomTom. It’s smart a call to bartend at SUR if that’s the case.
