It’s very clear that (most of) the Vanderpump Rules cast members don’t want James Kennedy on the show. However, it just doesn’t make much sense when you think about the bigger picture. The other cast members are settling down. They’re in long term relationships, opening up bars, and actually behaving themselves. Well, they’re not behaving all of the time, but it’s fair to say that they’ve all matured. Normally, that would be a great thing, but for a reality TV show? Not so much. The show just isn’t as good as it used to be.
They need James and the controversy that he brings merely for existing. Most of it was the Everybody Hates James Kennedy Show, with a majority of the cast members refusing to hang out with James or invite him to events. This has to suck for Raquel Leviss. She acquired the chance to laxative tea and subscription boxes on Instagram, but she’s barely a part of the show. She’s not a full-time cast member and they’re trying to phase her man out of the show. Her aspiring career as a social media influencer is slipping away before her eyes.
During the last episode of the show, Raquel invited everyone to her puppy shower… an event for her dog who is already born. Raquel and James figured that the puppy-loving cast would be down to attend, but that was actually not the case.
Jax Taylor said he would go if it was just Raquel’s party. Thanks, James. His fiancee Brittany Cartwright basically gave Raquel that same answer. The same night that their puppy party invitations got rejected, Jax and Brittany revealed that they would not invite Raquel and James to their engagement party. Well, at least they’re not the only ones excluded. They’re also keeping Billie Lee, an avid member of Team James, off the guest list.
Even though Raquel wasn’t invited to the engagement party or the wedding, Raquel told Us Weekly, “Yeah, of course. I would love to go.” Why would she want to go to an event in honor of a couple who avidly hates her boyfriend? Oh, yeah, they’re definitely filming this wedding. Raquel doesn’t want to miss yet another on-camera event. She’s gotta acquire those Instagram followers.

Raquel was asked if she and James would be invited to the wedding. she admitted that she is “not sure.” Apparently, they did not receive a “Save the date” in the mail.
For the record, back in February, Kristen Doute tweeted, “Okay, so: James, Raquel, and Billie Lee are [100%] not invited to Brittany & Jax’s wedding. Kisses, Kristen #PumpRules.” Is Kristen in charge of the guest list for this wedding?
As of this moment, it seems like it’s not a possibility for James and Raquel to score an invite. However, this is Vanderpump Rules, relationships are constantly changing.

Raquel told Us Weekly, “What I can say is, I’ve tried my hardest of making friends with the whole cast, and I’ve invited them to a few events, including my puppy shower.” Poor, Raquel. She joined this cast at the worst possible time, with the least popular boyfriend.
Still, it’s not completely lonesome in West Hollywood. Raquel shared, “We’ve made other friends besides cast members, and we have really great group of friends that we brunch with. So, it’s been good.” As long as they have people to eat brunch with that’s all that matters, right?
