Real Housewives of Atlanta fans watched Cynthia Bailey wed Peter Thomas on camera. Cynthia had plenty of reservations about walking down the aisle with Peter. Maybe she should have had second thoughts about the museum where they wed as well. Nothing spells romance like a canopy of dinosaur bones. Cynthia’s family did not support that union at all. That was one tense wedding!
After six years of marital strife, which included financial issues, and rumors that Peter was cheating, Cynthia announced that the couple was divorcing. Who was surprised by this announcement? Absolutely no one. Who was thrilled about this revelation? Cynthia’s sister and mother.
This season on RHOA, Cynthia sent her only child, Noelle Robinson, off to college. Then her bestie Nene Leakes demoted Cynthia to co-worker only status because of something that happens during the finale. Luckily, Cynthia has a new love in her life. She has been dating sportscaster Mike Hill, and she couldn’t be happier. Cynthia even has marriage on her mind. Perhaps Cynthia should take a cue from her Season 11 tag line, “I age like a fine wine, and now I am ready to CHill.” “CHill” is a cute nickname for the couple, and also what Cynthia needs to do.
Cynthia and Mike have been dating for about a year, and Cynthia is telling the world all about her feelings. Cynthia appeared on The Real and naturally, she was asked if the couple set a wedding date.
“Well, I want to marry this man. I love this man. We have time. When Mike is ready and when God is ready, that’s when we will get married,” Cynthia shared. “However, I do predict that Mike and God will be ready sometime next year. Praise God!”

Are you listening, Mike? Cynthia is begging asking you to put a ring on it. “You know it’s crazy, we talk about it all the time. I’ve been married before. Mike has been married before. We have kids already. We’re enjoying the process,” Cynthia added.

In a Bravo blog post from earlier this season, Cynthia wrote, “We took our time getting to know each other as friends first. At that time, neither one of us were ready to commit to a serious exclusive relationship, and we weren’t in a rush. We have both been divorced and wanted to take our time.”
I really do love Mike and Cynthia as a couple, and she is just glowing. I hope that she doesn’t endure another heartbreak like her divorce from Peter. And from the sounds of it, Nene won’t be at this wedding.
