It’s hard to remember Vanderpump Rules before James Kennedy came on the scene. Over time, James became a DJ at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant, SUR– bringing in huge crowds each week. However, since he made his first appearance on the show, James has made quite a name for himself – and not just because of his DJ’ing.
Throughout the seasons, James has had his share of issues with his fellow cast mates, like Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney. However, his issues with Jax Taylor seem to go a little deeper. Maybe it’s because Jax sees himself in James or perhaps he’s simply jealous. We may never know why but it seems like these two won’t be singing “kumbaya” anytime soon.
Aside from James issues with many of his costars, his biggest issue really seems to be with himself. It seems like James is always talking about a new quest to stay sober. And now that sobriety is being called into question. However, this time it is not about the pasta alcohol consumption.

According to an E! News article, the RBF Podcast shared a video to their Instagram of a man doing cocaine. Was that James? James commented on the video with “THIS IS NOT ME”.
E! News reported that shortly after, the podcast apologized for implying that he was using drugs. They also removed the post from their Instagram account. End of story, right? Not so much, but it never is with James.
And this is where b comes in. The RBF Podcast’s Instagram account claimed that the self-proclaimed “number one guy in the group” is the person who sent them that video. They deleted the video, but they did call out Jax in a different post. The podcast shared, We got jax’d this afternoon. Shoutout to @itsjameskennedy & sorry we believed anything @mrjaxtaylor would tell us. He lead me to believe that video was real then deleted his comments! @stassischroeder now I can officially say I’ve been JAXED also.” Ouch!
I knew that James and Jax didn’t get along. But this takes things to a whole other level!
