Oh, Kim Zolciak…neither Don’t Be Tardy nor Big Papa nor John Legend will keep the drama away from you, girl! Even when Kim tries to launch a family business, she runs into drama.
What did she do this time? She posted a photo to advertising her makeup line wearing makeup that’s not even from her line. How did anyone put this together? She decided to promote the line with a photo she posted before the makeup even existed. This is certainly one way to get some publicity for her new lip kit line, KAB Cosmetics.
According to an article from Radar Online, Kim and daughters Brielle Biermann and Ariana Biermann launched KAB Cosmetics to great success. Kim told her Instagram followers, “Less than 1 hour until our @kabcosmetics PRE LAUNCH.”
Kim continued, “So excited we’ve worked so incredibly hard on this for over a year now!! Wearing lip kit ‘sweetheart’ here. UPDATE: Sweetheart sold out in minutes the next closest to this is Sugar n Spice.” Sounds good, right? She’s just like one of the 92,525,532 reality stars trying to sell makeup on social media. However, it’s not that simple. It rarely is with KZB.
Spoiler Alert: the photo that Kim posted didn’t feature her own lipstick and the photo is from in 2017. Naturally, fans were outraged and called Kim out on her shady online sales practices. But…there’s more (and with Kim, there usually is).
Another fan let her have it: “Promoting an old picture with other brand’s accrual products is so wrong. The picture and what you get can be two different things.”

A second follower didn’t hold back and wrote, “How stupid do you think we are? You got caught in a lie. Own it. Stop lying.” Yikes.
Look, Kim should be used to getting caught pin her lies. Just ask DJ Tracy Young and NeNe Leakes. Take a look at the majority of her “unedited” thigh gap photos if you want another example. However, for someone who uses a lot of social media, this is such an amateur move. Am I right?
All publicity is good publicity, but this is definitely not how I would want to start my cosmetics line. Let’s hope she turns over all future social media to the only people who have any business posting pictures in her family…her adorable twins Kaia and Kane!
