Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules opened with Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s engagement. Their impending union has been a hot topic of conversation ever since. Everyone has questions about their relationship. Has Jax truly changed? Are they ready for marriage after last season’s cheating scandal? Will they get married on the show (duh)? Are they signing a prenuptial agreement?
Will Brittany keep her last name? Will she become Brittany Cartwright Taylor? Or maybe just Brittany Taylor. How does Jax’s legal name, Jason Cauchi, factor into that decision?
In a video interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, an off-camera producer asked, “What’s been going on with the last name?” Jax shared, “We’ve discussed it a little bit here and there. We’ve kind of made jokes about it because I have multiple last names. So, I think she should keep her last name, but our kids will have my last name. My legal last name, which is Cauchi.”
Brittany said, “I’m still deciding what exactly we’re going to do with that because no one knows Jax as Jason Cauchi. Everybody knows him as Jax Taylor. So, if I’m all of a sudden Brittany Cartwright Cauchi, I feel like people are going to be like ‘what?'”

She admitted, “And I think that might be a little confusing. He thinks so too.”
Then, she explained the origin of his stage name: “Taylor is his mom’s maiden name.” Brittany shared, “I would never take ‘Taylor,’ but our kids would definitely be ‘Cauchi,’ if that helps anything. So, we are just trying to decide what we are going to do for my last name. It would probably be hyphenated if anything.
