Considering that the Super Bowl was in Atlanta, it makes sense that Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members would attend events all weekend. Cynthia Bailey even had a pretty cool story to share with reporters on the red carpet. Or so she thought…
Cynthia told everyone about how she met Tom Brady. Yes, that Tom Brady, as if he wasn’t busy preparing for a football game all weekend. Sure, he was in Atlanta, obviously, but there’s no way he’s just walking around the lobby at a random hotel.
Cynthia copped to the mistake with a hilarious Instagram post. She began, “Confession. I ran into this guy last night in the lobby of the St. Regis. I asked for a picture because I thought he was @tombrady. I really did.”
Cynthia added, “I did interviews on the carpets last night saying how cool it was to bump into Tom Brady. After, I texted my picture to my bae @itsmikehill to share my excitement.” Maybe she should have texted her sportscaster boyfriend before she did red carpet interviews about the run in.

Cynthia even shared text screenshots of their conversation. In response to the photo, Mike Hill asked, “Who is that?”
Mike told Cynthia that she did not actually take a selfie with Tom Brady. Then, he asked, “You didn’t post anything, did you?”
Mike concluded the conversation with “I’m gonna need you…. as your SPORTS-CASTER boyfriend… NOT to not know who Tom Brady is.” Fair enough, Mike. Fair enough.

Ultimately, Cynthia ended her Instagram post with “Looking back now at the picture, ok maybe he is not Tom’s long lost twin. But he could be his cousin right or nah? What y’all think?”
