After over a decade together, Flipping Out stars Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward have split up. The couple shares two-year-old daughter Monroe, which prompted Jeff to refer to himself as a “single dad” when he made the announcement.
Jeff broke the news on his Sirius XM radio show Jeff Lewis Live. He told a caller “I’m now a single dad because the baby is with me.” When he was asked about possible custody arrangements, Jeff answered, “I don’t even want to go there.”
The Flipping Out star admitted, “This has been a long time coming. We were in separate rooms a significant portion of last year. So, it was kind of like a roommate situation.”
Jeff went on to explain, “We were like friends with benefits. We would still hook up… inconsistently.” He even confessed, “I was still encouraged, like, ‘There’s still something her. He’s still interested in me.” Ultimately Jeff concluded, “But there was a real lack of intimacy because he wasn’t in my room. So I actually felt very lonely and sad and disappointed.”

Jeff revealed, “I said to him, ‘I want to be very clear, I’m not throwing you out. I’m not breaking up with you. I’m here. You need time and space to get perspective.'” So does that mean it is more of a “break” than a “breakup”?
He admitted, “I’m hoping that the guy wakes up. I’m hoping that he sits in his hotel room, misses his family, starts focusing on the positive, and stops focusing on the negative. That’s what I’m really hoping”
Jeff took some ownership for his role in the situation. He shared, “I didn’t fight for the relationship. I didn’t work for the relationship.”
