Real Housewives of New Jersey’s nastiest divorce has just taken a disturbing turn. Friend of the Housewives Danielle Staub had police remove her estranged husband, Marty Caffrey, from their home on January 3.
The couple was married in May in the Bahamas while RHONJ’s cameras rolled. In August, the couple filed for, and later dropped, restraining orders against each other. Danielle then filed for divorce.
According to an article from TMZ, Danielle was granted a protective order against Marty on January 3. Police went to the home regarding a domestic disturbance call and removed Marty from the house that the couple share. The police did not charge Marty with any crime or arrest him. So, what happened to make Danielle call the police?
Danielle was claiming that Marty is inflicting “emotional torment.” Sources tell TMZ that Danielle is accusing Marty of sometimes turning off the power, cutting off the hot water, and loosening light bulbs. Everyone needs a hobby, right? But this is a strange creative way to aggravate someone.
Marty allegedly refused four offers to settle. Additionally, Danielle is convinced that Marty is trying to drag out the divorce proceedings just to harass her. Marty had previously listed the 7,500 square foot home that the exes are sharing for sale, but forgot to notify Danielle. Awkward!

RHONJ fans have been watching the raunchy bachelorette festivities, and the wedding itself, play out on Season 9. New Jersey Housewives Margaret Josephs, Melissa Gorga, and Teresa Giudice were all members of the bridal party. And they were all subject to Danielle’s outrageous bridezilla demands, such as ordering her bride squad to buy her extravagant gifts.
Perhaps this divorce drama will set Danielle up nicely with a dramatic storyline for next season.
