Andy Cohen Reveals The Gender Of His Future Child

Andy Cohen spilled some major tea of his own to Watch What Happens Live viewers on December 20 when he revealed that he is expecting a baby via surrogate. And really, there was no better way to make the revelation than being surrounded by the OG Real Housewives. Teresa Giudice, Ramona Singer, Kyle Richards, NeNe Leakes, and Vicki Gunvalson were all in attendance. Let the squabbling begin over who will be the baby’s godmother!

“Tonight, I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks’ time, I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future,” an emotional Andy said.

According to an article from People, after the broadcast, Andy went out with a small group to celebrate this new chapter in his life. Reportedly, Andy stated, “that he was ‘relieved’ the news was finally out there. Nevertheless, he kept reiterating how excited he was for the future.”

And now, the proud father-to-be told his bestie and co-host of CNN’s live New Year’s Eve show, Anderson Cooper, that he is expecting a son. During the show, Andy announced, “It’s a boy. And I got to tell you something, I cannot wait to meet this boy.”

Andy reflected on being ready to become a parent and making this momentous decision. “But here I am, I turned 50 this year. It takes some people longer to get to that place. And it took me that time,” Andy told Anderson.

A source told People that Andy also took into consideration the fact that his parents are getting older. With that said, he wants them to be a part of his son’s life. So far, Andy has already picked out a name for his son. However, he declined to reveal it to the New Year’s Eve crowd. Congratulations, Andy, and Mazel Tov!
