Peter Madrigal Dishes On Previous Relationship With Stassi Schroeder & Life Before Vanderpump Rules

Why isn’t Peter Madrigal a full-time cast member on Vanderpump Rules? He has a been around this whole time and he is an integral part of the friend group, yet he’s not a part of the drama. Then again, he might actually have the best situation out of all of the cast members. Peter benefits from being a part of the show, yet he’s not obligated to share his innermost secrets.

In short, he gets to experience some of the best aspects of being on the show without suffering as much as the full-time cast members. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean that the fandom isn’t super intrigued by Peter’s personal life. Honestly, it just makes the viewers want to know more. Come on, he dated both Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney, yet he seems to have zero drama in this group. That is just so fascinating. Would there have been some Peter drama if Vanderpump Rules started filming earlier? Possibly!

Peter opened about his personal life during a recent episode of the Buttered Pop podcast. Both the fans and the cast members love Peter. Nevertheless, Peter jokes, “Jax [Taylor] is the number one guy. I’ll give that to Jax. I’ll take number four. I’m not that prideful. I don’t have that much of an ego.” And that’s why everyone has good things to say about Peter. It’s also probably why he’s not a full-time cast member. Truth be told, there are some major egos in the cast. As much as I love him (and I know I’m one of the few), Jax actually declared “I’m the number one guy in this group.” Nevertheless, that scene was iconic.

Peter opened up about his previous romance with Stassi. Again, I wish the show started filming years earlier. I would have loved to see this play out on TV. Peter began, “To preface this, we’re all older now. We’re adults now. So, when we dated, I was still a server/bartender there. She had just started working at SUR. We used to work lunches together.”
It sounded like a pretty cute relationship at first. Peter remarked, “We just started flirting during lunches.” And then that flirtation turned into drama, of course.
Peter revealed, “She used to call me up in the middle of the night to find out if I was having sex with someone else. I was like ‘I’m not. I just want to go to bed because I have an early day tomorrow.'” Then he added, “I would just be like ‘I want to go to sleep.'” Fair enough. Sleep is hard to come by, especially in the restaurant business.

Then, Peter recalled the demise of their short-lived relationship. He shared, “I remember the night I broke up with her. I was chasing after becoming an actor. I was meeting up with this woman who was a higher up. Then, I was like ‘we have to get coffee’ because I want some contacts. She took that as I was hooking up with this girl.” Again, I want to point out that I wish this relationship was filmed for Vanderpump Rules. I can definitely see this is an interesting storyline.

Peter continued, “I was like ‘You know what, I’m done. I’m finished.'” Then, Peter talked about Stassi crying and he admitted, “I’m really sorry I did that.” Then he admitted, “I felt bad, but it needed to be done.” Later in the interview, Peter shared, “She threw hot coffee at me at one time.” Ouch.

After recounting his Stassi era, Peter discussed the show itself. He answered a question that everyone wants to know: Is it real? What are the cast members actually like? Peter insisted, “With everybody, it’s what you see is what you get.” Then, why are we not seeing more Peter? After all of these years, he’s just such a mystery on the show.
