Did Real Housewives of New Jersey’s cameras ruin the loving (and oh so brief) marriage between Danielle Staub and her ex, Marty Caffrey? Well, that is what Marty believes.
In case you blinked and missed it, Danielle and Marty married in May in the Bahamas. In August, the couple filed for, and eventually dropped, restraining orders against each other, and Danielle filed for divorce. Isn’t love grand?
According to an article from Page Six, Marty said, “As we approached the wedding, and the filming of Season 9 began, she changed. Instead of our relationship, it became more about the cameras.” He added, “She began to think she was more important than everybody else.” Of course, New Jersey Housewives Teresa Giudice, Margaret Josephs, and Melissa Gorga were all in the bridal party.
As all table-flipping RHONJ fans know, Danielle appeared on the first two seasons of the show. She started appearing as a Friend of the Housewives in Season 8. All the bridal shenanigans leading up to her wedding have captured a lot of air-time on Season 9. Her stripper-filled bachelorette party will never be forgotten. No matter how much the fans want to.

Danielle, who has been feuding with Margaret, who planned most of the bachelorette festivities, recently told Page Six about her party, “I was totally caught off guard by the male strippers and I felt like Margaret’s plans for the party crossed the line.” Danielle didn’t look upset. She seemed to be loving every sweaty second of the strippers’ hands-on performance.
Marty even listed the home that he was sharing with his ex. However, he neglected to inform her that he was selling it. Marty also stated, “Danielle wants to reconcile with me, but I’m not sure there is a path forward. We’ll see.” Perhaps a reconciliation could be Danielle’s storyline for Season 10?
