LeeAnne Locken Thinks D’Andra Simmons “Doesn’t Know How To Genuinely Love”

LeeAnne Locken made some big changes during Real Housewives of Dallas Season 3. LeeAnne became friends with Cary Deuber and Stephanie Hollman after two seasons of feuding. Rich Emberlin and LeeAnne finally set a wedding date. She created a dress that can be worn in 175 ways. LeeAnne really made some strides.

Unfortunately, some of the changes and LeeAnne’s life were not positive. The viewers witnessed the demise of LeeAnne and D’Andra Simmons’ close friendship. And overall, the more things change, the more they stay the same. In this case, I’m talking about the never-ending strife between LeeAnne and Brandi Redmond.

LeeAnne dished on Season 3 of RHOD during a two-part episode of Sip With Sam. LeeAnne has had plenty of time to reflect on her issues with D’Andra. She’s probably asked about it in every interview at this point. So what does it all boil down to? What is the origin of their tension? She breaks it down in her recent conversation with Sip With Sam host Sameera Shah.

LeeAnne theorized, “I think, in all fairness, I will say this. I don’t think D’Andra knows how to genuinely love. I don’t think she was ever taught it.” That’s quite the assessment there. What does Mama Dee have to say about that?

Never say never when it comes to a Real Housewives friendships. You really never know how these bonds will evolve (or regress). They might be best friends again by the time Season 4 filming begins. Sure, it doesn’t seem likely, but it is possible. Maybe LeeAnne and Rich’s wedding will inspire them to patch things up so D’Andra can attend.

LeeAnne and D’Andra’s rift had effects beyond their own relationship. Rich and D’Andra’s husband Jeremy Lock had been friends for years.

LeeAnne admitted, “I don’t know where their friendship lies right now. It’s uncomfortable, you know. But I feel like I hope that they work it out. I hope that their friendship stays separate from the show, and from our friendship.”

Even though it was short-lived, LeeAnne and Brandi did have a friendship at some point. Well, at least they did according to LeeAnne (and the Season 2 viewers). Later, Brandi adamantly denied that they were ever friends. Of course, LeeAnne admitted, “I was shocked.” She even confessed, “I cried for a solid week. I was really hurt.”
