The hits just keep on coming for 90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson. She and her fiance, Jay Smith, have had a lot of challenges this season. Ashley’s former best friend and bridesmaid Natalie went rogue and exposed her personal stories and medical info to the tabloids. Jay was at the receiving end of violent and racist threats on social media. Last week, their personal wedding photos were leaked.
On December 12th, Ashley posted on her Instagram that she is still dealing with ongoing health issues. She thanked fans for their product endorsements and Cameo requests. But admitted that she couldn’t currently follow through on the orders. Ashley revealed that an unnamed illness has landed her in the hospital again. Prayers and patience were politely requested.
This is not the first health battle that she has dealt with publicly. Last month, after appearing swollen and exhausted on an episode, Ashley shared her Lupus diagnosis. At the time, she had a reaction to her medication that resulted in swelling and a bad rash. Ashley recovered from the breakout, but told fans that it was an ongoing issue for the rest of the season. This time, months after filming for the season wrapped, she was less detailed and simply said she was “very sick.” Reality TV blogger John Yates shared her post and wished her a speedy recovery

There is no cure for the autoimmune disease, but it can be managed with medication. Though Ashley did not specify that she was in the hospital because of Lupus, one can assume that it might be a factor. As the symptoms can be exaggerated by stress, perhaps the constant acts of hostility towards her and Jay are taking a toll on her health. Hopefully, things will settle down and Ashley is on the mend soon!
