Ronnie & Shamari DeVoe Say “We Have All Doctored Documents To Get Tax Returns”

Are you even a reality TV star if you don’t have tax problems? Obviously, that’s not an actual requirement, but it’s definitely a common occurrence. I’m looking at you, Joe Giudice & Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

It is very rare for any reality star to actually be straight up about their financial issues. Usually, they employ the “deny, deny, deny” strategy. However, that is not the case with new Atlanta Housewife Shamari DeVoe and Ronnie DeVoe. They have no problem answering any question that comes their way.

The couple appeared on a recent episode of The Domenick Nati Show. Domenick was very direct with the questions. He asked, “Radar is claiming you owe $366,000 in taxes. Are these allegations true?”

Without hesitation, Ronnie began, “There’s some truth to everything in life.” He admitted, ” I think we’ve all had some tax challenges and have owed Uncle Sam or doctored up some documents to get some sort of tax return.” I don’t know if all of us have done that, but apparently, this does happen a lot. Especially with reality TV cast members.

Ronnie continued, “Ultimately, it’s something that is there. It’s something that is being worked on. It’s definitely not something that I’m running away from. The IRS knows me and I know them. Payments are being made. Shit happens in life.”

The New Edition singer confessed, “Money was used to take care of some other things.”

Even so, it seems like things are looking up for the DeVoe family. Ronnie declared, “Every year after that has been amazing, paid for, and up to date. So, it’s all good. We own up to our flaws. We are not a perfect couple and we are not perfect people.” Shamari interjected, “We are human.”

Shamari added, “Keep us in the press. Keep us relevant.” Being on Real Housewives of Atlanta certainly helps with that.

However, this season isn’t the most exciting so far. We need Kenya Moore and her drama. The show just hasn’t been the same without her. Pretty much nothing has happened in her absence.

Even Shamari is on board with a Kenya return. She shared, “I think I would bring back Kenya. I’ve only met Kenya one time, but she definitely would be a challenge for me. I like a little challenge.” That’s for sure. Kenya doesn’t play.

Shamari claimed, “She doesn’t intimidate me. Not at all whatsoever. Nobody intimates me.”

TELL US- ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT RONNIE & SHAMARI DEVOE ARE SO OPEN ABOUT THEIR TAX ISSUES? DO YOU WANT KENYA MOORE BACK ON THE SHOW? IS SHAMARI A GOOD ADDITION TO REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA?
