I have always supported The Hills reboot, but I can’t help feeling confusion every time there’s additional casting news. How is this a “reality show” when there are just (seemingly) random people thrown in on top of some original cast members who are in touch for the first time in years?
Of course, Brody Jenner, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, and other cast members from the show’s original run are on board, but some of the additions just seem so random. Mischa Barton will be on the show. There were rumblings that Kyle Massey is set to join the cast. Now the son of some pretty famous exes will be on The Hills as well.
Page Six reports that Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s son Brandon Lee will be a cast member on The Hills: New Beginnings.
That article quotes an insider who said, “The show is very Brody Jenner centric.” That same source claimed, The cast is circling around him and his friends.” Is Brandon in Brody’s group of friends? Whether he is or not, he is about to be and there’s bound to be a ton of (manufactured) drama.
He is 22 years old, which is significantly younger than everyone else on this show. For reference, Brody is 32. So how does he fit in with all of this? What is the plan here? There are just so many uncertainties surrounding this Hills reboot. Nevertheless, I will be tuning in live, week after week, no matter what.
