Now that Porsha Williams is engaged to Dennis McKinley, it was only a matter of time before some skeletons fell out of his closet. And it happened real quickly. Porsha announced her pregnancy last week and she got engaged this week. So of course Dennis’ legal drama with his ex-girlfriend has hit the internet just a couple days later.
RadarOnline got a hold of some legal documents detailing Dennis‘ legal battle with his ex Shanise Thomason. They got into a fight over the ownership of a weave and extension line before he evicted her from their home. It is quite the “he said, she said” battle.
Porsha Williams Has a New Man
Dennis sued Shanise for “trademark infringement, conversion and other wrongful acts.” He accused her of claiming to have ownership rights to his company Queen Virgin Remy and of stealing inventory from a retail store in 2015. Apparently she stole 67 percent of the store’s inventory and he claims she evaded arrest by claiming she had “shared ownership” of the store.
He also asked for a temporary restraining order against his ex and accused her of using his company’s name and logo to “promote and market herself and her own business ventures in a way that is misleading and confusing to members of the public.” She maintained that she actually is a co-owner of the company in her own counterclaim. She also denies the shoplifting claims.
Shanise also accused Dennis of registering the company with himself as the sole member without her knowledge in 2012. Before the hair extensions lawsuit went down, Dennis requested for Shanise to be evicted from his apartment.
Dennis and Porsha probably don’t want this messiness to become public fodder, but clearly they have other things to focus on these days. They have a baby on the way, they’re engaged, and Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 will be on in November. Then again, the trailer makes it seem like Dennis will go through the ringer with the rest of the ladies.
