At this time last year, Lala Kent and Randall Emmett would not even publicly confirm their relationship. Now the producer and the Vanderpump Rules cast member are engaged and very excited to share the news with the world. What a difference a year makes.
Randall went all out for the engagement and it’s clear that the two of them are way past merely alluding to their relationship with vague posts on social media. They are fully open now. Or at least they were with the engagement.
Lala shared three photos from the proposal in Cabo San Lucas with a sweet caption: “Last night was the best night of my entire life. I got engaged to the man of my dreams. I get to call this amazing human my fiancé! An engagement last night, my birthday today, and every sign my dad could possibly send me to let me know he’s here. I’m the happiest girl in the world.”
In another post, Lala wrote, “I can’t stop smiling. I’m a fiancé!!! I love you, Rand! Thank you for taking care of my heart and soul every day. You will always be number 1.”

Randall shared a photo of himself kissing Lala on the cheek and wrote: “She said “yes”. #hoopies aka @lalakent.” He shared another photo and wrote “And there were fireworks!!! #hoopies said yes.” Yes, he got actual fireworks for the proposal. He really did go all out.
The couple spoke to People immediately following the engagement. Aside from the fireworks, Randall set up a screen for Lala to watch Friends, one of her favorite shows. The screen went black and there was a montage of their memories together and then he proposed with that GIANT diamond engagement ring.
Lala told People, “I keep looking down at my ring finger. I’m just so happy to say we are officially engaged. We are so excited to start planning the rest of our lives together and I’m excited to put as much detail as Randall did in our engagement into our wedding!”
In a far less formal statement, a TMZ article revealed Randall took the microphone at the Mandala Los Cabos nightclub to announced “All you motherf****** know when you fall in love, you turn into a bitch. And that’s what I am. I’ve fallen in love with Lala Kent.”
And now here’s the big question: will any of this be included on Vanderpump Rules next season? It seems very unlikely that Randall would actually appear, but will this be referenced other than a brief acknowledgment at the end of the season? Will he appear on the season after that? Probably not, but I’m in full support of Lala’s man making a cameo appearance.
