Why is this non-conflict between Emily Simpson’s husband Shane Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter dominating the storyline right now on Real Housewives of Orange County? It wasn’t even captured on camera. It doesn’t even seem like Gina is that upset about it and Emily doesn’t seem super offended by it either. Why is everyone still talking about it?
Oh right, because pretty much nothing else is happening this season. The biggest storyline so far was Vicki Gunvalson’s shady double dates with Kelly Dodd’s ex-husband, but after that was rehashed for many episodes, we are stuck listening to this non-argument about an exchange of words after Emily’s poker party.
While the viewers are collectively yawning in response to this story line, Kelly is probably breathing a sigh of relief to be out of the drama for a minute during the last episode. She even discussed the poker party antics in her Bravo blog post.
Kelly wrote, “Hearing about Shane throwing Gina out of Emily’s house was a plot twist!” Was it though? Labeling an insignificant, off-camera argument as a “plot twist” is quite the stretch.
Kelly continued, “Who does that? Not having been there to witness it, all I can say is that I think it’s always inexcusable for a man to yell at a woman, especially if it’s not someone he knows.” Agreed.
Real Housewives Of Orange County’s Gina Kirschenheiter Feels Bad For Being So Loud At Poker Night… Sort Of
Kelly said, “As a party hostess, Emily must have been mortified at the way the night ended. Still, something tells me everybody is blowing it out of proportion. Sometimes, the way stories get passed around and exaggerated, a whole drama can be created that wasn’t even there to begin with. But hey—it’s not my drama, so I’ll just sit back and enjoy the fireworks on this one.” What fireworks? This is not-at-all interesting.
A scene that was interesting, albeit it a bit awkward was Kelly’s lunch date with the milkman. Kelly shared, “I met Frank at the Mayweather V. McGregor fight in Vegas. We had a couple of friends in common. We were friends first and even talked about going into business together. We are still good friends. I love spending time with him. Being that he lives in New York, you could say he’s geographically undesirable, but at least our connection is real.”
She even admitted, “We still talk and see each other. I love our friendship and our bond, but I think it could never work out because of the distance. His business is in New York, and it means everything to him.” Does this mean that they hang out when Kelly is in town to film Watch What Happens Live? Andy Cohen, please ask this the next time Kelly appears.
During the episode Kelly laughed at the suggestion that she would end up alone and she addressed that in the Bravo blog post as well. Oh and she threw in some shade about Emily and Shane’s marriage as well: “Am I confident that I won’t end up alone? It’s not a fear that I have, at least not right now. I will say one thing: I’m an open-minded girl, but I am pretty sure I won’t marry a Mormon. I’m sure he’d tell me I’m going straight to hell!”
